Nov 3, 2011, 3:10 PM: Scott Anderson on stage, head of merchandising for Best Buy Mobile.

Nov 3, 2011, 3:07 PM: Verizon executive on stage.

Nov 3, 2011, 3:03 PM: Rezound camera includes "action burst" and "instant capture", like other new top-end HTC phones. Also, good low-light performance with big lens and good sensor. Video captured at 1080p HD.

Nov 3, 2011, 3:01 PM: True 720p HD display. (Much like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.)

Nov 3, 2011, 3:00 PM: The HTC Rezound will ship with Gingerbread, but "ready" for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. They're committed to delivering that update, "likely early next year."

Nov 3, 2011, 2:56 PM: A lot of talk about not only sound quality, but "music delivery".

Nov 3, 2011, 2:55 PM: HTC's Chou (in video) talking about how Beats is a way for HTC to establish "an emotional connection" with the consumer.

Nov 3, 2011, 2:54 PM: Jimmy talking about how important phones are in the future of the music industry.

Nov 3, 2011, 2:53 PM: (Jimmy, if you didn't know is also chairman of Interscope/Geffen, and a major music producer.)

Nov 3, 2011, 2:51 PM: Jimmy making it sounds like Beats initiated the partnership with HTC.

Nov 3, 2011, 2:50 PM: Talking about the sex appeal of good speakers. To paraphrase: Beats: helping guys get laid.

Nov 3, 2011, 2:48 PM: Shout out to Dr. Dre (who's here). Beats was started with Jimmy saying to Dre: "Screw sneakers. Let's do speakers."

Nov 3, 2011, 2:47 PM: (Jimmy explaining the history that led to the Beats / HTC partnership.)

Nov 3, 2011, 2:40 PM: HTC doing great this year. Brand quickly gaining traction. Number 1 in US smartphone sales last quarter.

Nov 3, 2011, 2:36 PM: Peter Chou, HTC CEO, on stage.

Nov 3, 2011, 2:35 PM: Talking heavily about Verizon. This is a Verizon "music" phone.

Nov 3, 2011, 2:33 PM: Starting!

Nov 3, 2011, 2:33 PM: As you can see, there's a nice big Beats logo on screen. So far, things seem to be lining up nicely for the Rezound rumors to come true.

Nov 3, 2011, 2:25 PM: Verizon reps spotted!

Nov 3, 2011, 2:23 PM: We're seated and ready to go. (For a place called "Arena", it's a tiny venue.)
