Research In Motion today announced a new product for its business customers called Mobile Fusion. The product is a device management tool for corporate IT departments and can be used to control select behaviors of corporate BlackBerries, such as passwords, apps, and other software. Mobile Fusion also allows businesses that use RIM's mobile email and device solutions to control the security behaviors of devices running Apple's iOS (iPad, iPhone) and smartphones running Google's Android platforms. RIM says Mobile Fusion can be used to manage the core security features of its own BlackBerry platform in addition to iOS and Android. RIM hopes the tool will allow its services to become the default platform chosen by business customers looking to control their remote devices.
