I'm all for safety but this seems like a stretch. I text friends and relatives not knowing if they are driving. Unless I'm a parent of a minor or them living under my roof, It's none of my business where they may be at any given time. It should be the sole responsibility and accountability of the driver to ignore or answer calls and read texts while behind the wheel. Trying to blame two seperated individuals seems like a ploy to increase court time. Who benefits from this? Lawyers. It should be cut and dry. You(the driver) are the one that holds total accountability of your vehicle. It should not matter what is happening around you.
