Sliding keyboards seem 2 b da big thing now on mobile devices.
I have notice a lot of cellular phone manufactures are using the sliding keyboard form factor now. I wonder if this form factor could some day replace the traditional flip design.
I good feature the sliding design has over the flip is, user can operate the device even when it is close. Also there is no need for a caller id display on the outside the device which can reduce manufacture costs.
Yep. Another big advantage of sliders (well, regular ones, not sideways ones like this) is that they're easy to open with one hand; much easier than most clamshells.

So I would have to guess that the moment you slide the keyboard out, the PDA is (hopefully) smart enough to automatically switch to Landscape display mode. It would be pretty dumb if you had to make that switch manually.
