It really varies. It can be one month or six. I've seen even longer, although it's not too common. But to say the average is 3-4 months doesn't tell you much - it really does vary quite a bit.

No way! They would not tell Danger to leave for something like this. Danger is really a Pop Culture kinda device. THis is most likely for business use.

If this device is going to rum off of 850/1900 wouldn't that make it for t-mobile usa's network and not tmobile Europe. 😎
The Blue Angel was quad-band so they could sell the same device to all carriers worldwide. I assume they'll do the same with this one. The FCC documents don't specify; the FCC only cares about US bands. Sometimes FCC docs mention Euro band in the foot...

Sliding keyboards seem 2 b da big thing now on mobile devices.
I have notice a lot of cellular phone manufactures are using the sliding keyboard form factor now. I wonder if this form factor could some day replace the traditional flip design.
I good feature the sliding design has over the flip is, user can operate the device even when it is close. Also there is no need for a caller id display on the outside the device which can reduce manufacture costs.

Yep. Another big advantage of sliders (well, regular ones, not sideways ones like this) is that they're easy to open with one hand; much easier than most clamshells.

So I would have to guess that the moment you slide the keyboard out, the PDA is (hopefully) smart enough to automatically switch to Landscape display mode. It would be pretty dumb if you had to make that switch manually.

Windows Mobile 5.0
Just thought I'd that this device will almost definitely have Windows Mobile 5.0. Of course that just makes sense given the timing, but it's pretty much verified by the clearly-visible softkeys for both landscape and portrait modes. Softkeys are new for Pocket PC with 5.0.
