non itune .mp3 ringtone plays in media player, but not ringtone

New phone. Ripped a song. Edited it down, changed the bit rate. its at 88k 44ghz and 32 bit I think. Plays fine in the media player, just won't load in the ringtone section, your thoughts?

How do you use the regular generic motorola music player for playing mp3's

I have the rokr and I want to use the motorola music player not the i-tunes for playing music so how do i go about doing that. Last question is there a way to set up playlist and playing the songs in any kind of order.? I want to use the generic media player becaz i-tunes wont accept some songs i d/l from limewire. If i use the other media player will the phone still pause when i get a call?

the rokr doesn't have the java mp3 player that other moto phones had, like e398, v635. you can only play the file in sounds w/o iTunes.

maybe you can find someone who has the old java mp3 player and install it. weird that iTunes would play the lim...

Problem Text Messaging

Alright, So I've had my phone about 2-3 weeks.. and I'm having problems text messaging already. Most of the time it's good, but every now and again my phone will stop receiving texts all together. Even calling *99 won't help. When this kicks in sometimes it won't send them either..

I'm using MTS in Canada and was wondering if this is a problem with the Rokr or is it just my phone?

Is there a way to send pictures or unlocked ringtones via bluetooth on this phone? It seems like the the only thing I can send is phonebook entries.

yes you go to the sounds list under multimedia scroll to the unlocked tone you wanna send. hit menu, hit copy or move via bluetooth and bam!!! you are good. 😁

Really? You should be able to send pics, videos and songs; and receive them as well.

the song capacity on the nokia isn't limited you can get up to a 2gb memory card. that phone is MORE than a phone. if you don't plan on using all the features don't pay the 2-3 hundred dollars for it.

I'm shocked that style concious Apple approved this phone! Motorola too for that matter...I thought they were trying to reshape their image...If I were sitting next to someone in a bar and they pulled this out, regardless of its features, I wouldn't be impressed...it has ZERO style and doesn't resemble what I would call a "cool gadget".

In my opinion I think that the phone is laid out great. The buttons are easy even for a guy with large hands.

Maybe if the guy had some cool music playing through the stereo speakers when he pulled it out you would be impressed. But I doubt it. ...

😕 😡 LIMITED TO 100 SONGS?! what is that crap all about?! i can get at least a 512 mb micro sd card and uh... i can get about 128 songs on that. so why on earth are we limited to 100?! BLECH. Ill take an s710.

i think this is a better choice right now too. i work for a big orange store, so i see a lot of phones. the ROKR didn't impress me (but i can't wait for other Rokr models) - the S710 is one of the nicest phones on the market right now for any networ...

Go to your pics, click the menu button, go to copy, choose bluetooth, make sure that their bluetooth is on. Videos and songs operate the same way. I hope I explained it right.

Yesterday, I was walking by with my cellphone in my pocket...
I check out the time in the cellphone to not be late to a date...

To me it looks like it needs a new screen. The screen may have just given up. Dead. I am currently contacting motorola via their website to fix my own rokr and it seems to be going ok. So that i my best suggestion.

I have a rokr E1. Nothing with the itunes or Mp3 player has been working for a while and i am now trying to fix it. Is there anyway to reset or download something to reload it to the phone.

hi..recently my memory card for my rokr phone, doesnt work anymore. so i switched the memory device from Trans to Phone. i have been taking pictures, but i dont know how to find those pictures when i connect my usb with my computer. any ideas?

MP3 Ringtones Trouble

So I take my mp3 files and chop them up in Windows Movie Maker which turns it into a wma file. I convert them to mp3 using itunes. I find the file, then I upload them using the usb into the audio part of my phone. When I go to the media player for the transflash card, I hear it fine. When I copy it to my phone memory and go to audio setting, I hear a ringing similar to the "continental" ringtone instead of my original file. What's weird is that if I were to upload 5 new ringtones, this would happen to 3 of my songs, then the other 2 would work perfectly. Any ideas why?

itunes won't let you add songs or files which it thinks has copyright protection on them, as far as I know, there's no way around this.

it has worked for me in the past just fine..but now i have the same problem where i hear a sound similar to the continental ringtone. has anyone figured out why?

It's a security password in the lock application. try your security password in the security area. if you don't have it you may need to call moto.

When i have my bluetooth headset on when my phone rings it doesnt ring with my set ringtone. I have a mp3 as my ringtone, does anyone know how to make it ring with my mp3 when it is on?

ive had this issue as well. i first noticed it with my razr, and later with my v557 and ended up just calling motorola, and they told me it was a known flaw with their gsm phones.

i need help with itunes i hook it up and my phone keeps saying some files and applications are not acessible and then when i try to transfer music to my phone it waits a bit and then says
"the moblie phone cannot be updated.the disk could not be read from or written to"
its really pissing me off

sounds like the connection to the phone isn't good. i've noticed this w/ some of the moto's when attempting to charge them. most likely the usb cable that connects to the phone IMO

This has benn Disabled by APPLE CORP. There isn't anything you can do aside from saving them to the flash card in music and then moving them from the card to the phone. then you can bluetooth. You can't do it from iTunes

HELP-dropped my phone-everything works fine but the screen!

Went to help out some friends who were in a car accident and didn't realize that my phone had dropped...when I found it on the ground, the battery had popped out and it was all scratched up, but it worked fine (could call and receive) except that the screen is just white. Wouldn't matter if I could remember all the phone numbers and where they were, and I can't figure out how to listen to my music...

I love my phone and don't want to get rid of it...and I have no insurance on it...any suggestions?
