Sprint's Price Better
$25 with 20 MB included. 1รยข/KB After with $70 CAP. Not everyone needs to use $60-70 worth.
Uh, your brochures actually state 40MB for $39, Unlimited Data $39 if combined with a voice plan....
So yes, Sprint kills VZW's price, for the same service.
And before any loyal VZW people say their network is better:
1) That is voice calling...

Can it work at my house?
I live in Buckeye, AZ about 40 miles west of Phoenix. Problem is where Im at there is no cable lines installed. Only choice is satellitte or dial up. Dial up is slow and sat is over $60/mo. I do happen to be in an EVDO coverage area. Could I connect my phone to my home computer and use this option? I would be willing to pay the $60 for a faster more reliable service.
if there is ev-do coverage then it will work
Buckeye is right on the edge of evdo (400-700mbps) and nationsl access (60-80kbps) the closer you get to pheonix the faster you'll see it go. (600-900kbps)
why so damn expensive?????
i think its great they finally realize what people want. but why make them pay $60.00 bucks for it. why cant they just make it a cheaper add on? or just let folks get the $15.00 vcast pack and let them teher that to a pc but slow the connection down?
so how will this work? is one going to have to pay the $15.00 for v-cast and $60.00 for the data plan? or just the $60.00 which i'm guessing and hoping.
it would be nice if the included these phones in on the voice and data choice bundles.
yup, it is kinda of a rip. At leaste when you have a blackeberry 7130 and paying $45 a month for data on it you only need to pay $15 for the unlimited tehthering making your total for unlimited data on both device $60 bucks, not a bad deal. On your ph...

60 bucks !! Plus you STILL cannot do it via bluetooth. As if customers aren't pissed off enough. This is an insulting resolution and embarassing for Verizon. Unlimited data on Sprint is $39 to tether using bluetooth or cable. This plan was just a...

This is great news. It's less than $79.99 (price when Broadband Access first launched) and you dont have to buy an Aircard ($50-$$300 savings). Consumers are never satisfied. Why dont you Cheap scapes go to TMobile for less and get 15-30 time SLOWE...

Finally caving in
Verizon must have just realized that most of their EV-DO handsets are more expensive then their aircards, and realized that it's just silly to not let people tether as long as they pay full price. Better late then never I guess.....
Baby steps to Bluetooth though...... ๐
Sprint has allowed EV-DO tethering since the phones were released. They even allow tethering via bluetooth (though it's not supported). Wonder why it took Verizon so long to cave in?
no, i think they probably just realized that people were already hackng their 8100, mo710 and using their evdo for free so they figuered they may as well bring out a plan so they could collect some money for it. I just wish they would come out with a ...

Will be nice once BT is "allowed"... ๐

$60 is for people with data plans
I believe the $60 dollar increase is for people with data plans with the blackberry 7130e. Hopefully it will just use mins, if you have a 8100,9800,v3 or e815
Knowing Verizon, it may even be $60 + minute usage....
