Xperia z4v Dead b4 its released?
Not sure what happened to "available late summer", since we are now into fall.. and the z5 has been announced... guess we will never see the z4v hit the shelves! I was really looking forward to a Sony phone, but might now reconsider the Samsung options.

When is this Z4v coming out?
This is pretty outrageous. On June 16, 2015, when Sony and VZW officially announced the Zv4, I signed up with both Sony and VZW to receive "updates" concerning the Zv4, including when this phone will be out "this summer." It is now September 4, almost fall, and I have received no "updates" to date.
I have complained to both VZW and Sony recently, and have received no information on the release date. Sony has not responded to my email at all to date. The VZW representative tried to steer me to another phone, when I stated that if the Z5 is offered unlocked in the U.S., I would contemplate changing carriers to a GSM one, such as AT&T or T-Mobile. It appears that the Z5 Premium is the most similar to the Z4v.
Yes I've been waiting for this to come out as well. I'm wondering if it'll ever make it now.
Guess what-big surprise, as of today, September 4th, VZW still pleads ignorance about the Z4v when I just contacted them and read the Sony email to them, which indicated that it was expected to come out "last month . . . please contact Verizon for pri...

Note 5 vs Xperia z4v
Well since it sounds like the Note 5 wont have removable memory, its making this beast from Sony look even better! I've always loved the form factor, just always seemed they were last years specs on the phones offered at Big Red. I'm really REALLY looking forward to trying this beauty out.

How will the camera compare to the Galaxy S6?
Sony doesn't have the best history of great phone cameras. Will the Z4v be any better? We all know that megapixel count is not any indication.
If you compare this phone to the Galaxy S6, you must include a camera comparison as well, since this is one of the best features on the S6.

Better than the Note 4?
I've always like the design of Sony... wonder if this new would be worth switching from the Note 4? Specs look good. Hmmmm
🤤
I had the Z1s on TMo.... and I freakin loved the device.
I have a job interview on Friday with a Verizon dealer... and this is the phone I will get should they hire me. I personally think that Sony makes a FANTASTIC device.

What about a Compact?
Even if they just released the Z3 Compact on ANY carrier in the US it would be nice to have an option of a less-large phone...that said, Sony still is a great choice if your hands can manage it...
Personally, I agree!
The Z4v is a hair shorter than the Z3v, but it's still larger than I would like. It's a bearable size, though. I was surprised at how not-huge it felt in person.
I bought my Z3 Compact directly from Sony back in the Fall and I love it. I am using AT&T but I assume it would be just as good on T-Mobile.
As for no US carrier selling them...well, they all seem to be switching their business model away from subs...

Any rumblings of the Z4 comign to Sprint?
Lots of rumors last year, but nothing came to fruition. Hopefully this year...and I agree, a Z4c would be nice.
Samsung Galaxy s6 battery life
I don't think the galaxy s6 battery life is mediocre at all. I can make it through a work day with Bluetooth on (because I have a Smartwatch) and still have 35 to 40% battery life remaining and that's also with pretty heavy use(Internet and game playing, wife texting me etc.)
Then the S6 battery life was designed for you! 🙂 There's nothing wrong with that.
In our tests, the S6 battery life was below-average. In other words, it was mediocre compared to most other phones on the market. Perhaps I could have clarifi...
