Anyone else find it funny that Helios is a high-high-end cellular provider and one of their flagship services will be mySpace, which caters to 13 and 14 year old poets and emogoths that naturally do not have any money?

Verizon Network Overload?
Hmm, i like verizon for the network. Amp's is now using verizon's network and soon another mvno Helio. I'm wondering if verizon's greed to lease their spectrum to these mvno's will have an effect on verizon quality?
I was wondering the same thing. I've heard of Verizon customers complaining about the "network busy" messages in my area. I occasionally get that message on my Cingular phone on Friday nights, but no problems otherwise.

Kick Flip Bluetooth???
I think I like this new Kickflip thingy (esp. the 2MP camera), but I have two question:
1) Will it have the A2DP bluetooth profile?
2) Will it be out in time for my NE2, which comes due April 1?
If so, I think I'll have to get it. If not, I think I'll have to get the Q.

You're not going to see this phone on Verizon, from what I gather. Helio is trying very hard to keep their phones as unique to their service as possible.
Bluetooth is not listed in the specs I have.

Screen size...
Both phone's LCDs are 2.2"... which is unfortunately the max normal screen size for Korean phone manufacturers. I think Sky may have one or two 2.3" LCDs but that's about it.
This is one area where the Japanese manufacturers have definitely been pushing the envelope - screen sizes on average are 2.4" with many 2.6" ones on the way, all while keeping form factors very manageable.
As Helio is supposed to push it when it comes to content, I'm hoping that they'll get some 2.4" screens on this side of the pond.

the kickflip IS the 650c, but in helio's specs it is not listed as having tv-out anymore. of course it may still have that but helio chose not to focus on it in the press release. we'll have to see

How are these handsets anything more than a Samsung A800 with EV-DO? They are comming out a full year after the 2MP CCD auto-focus Samsung, without Bluetooth. Oh, how great.

Well, spec-wise I'd say they're pretty good. Also the 8300 (and IIRC the VK one) both had WiFi in their SK versions, and rumor is that Helio will be keeping the WiFi (Rich said that the rumor was specifically that all Helio phones will have WiFi).

While using the pentech 8300
I've used the Pentech 8300 now called something else.. with helio..
i've been using it for just one year now..
The camera on it .. is so awsome..even tho it says 2.0 mega, seems more better .. very durable phone, dropped it so many times..
but still hasn't given me a problem
i've been using it though verizon, other then
the internet.. it works so fine.
i have mp3/music video/ect..
the memory slot can be maxed with 1gig tranflash card.
out of 10 i give it 9 ..
pentech 8300 is now old news
after that pentech 8400 came out then 8500
8600 then 8700 , then u110 and u100
so 6 models came out after the 8300
u100 has the 5.0 megapixal cam
and u110 has 1gig internal memeory..
and 2.0 megapixal.
well hope other people can use the 830...
