Video Tour: Sidekick Slide

I have a couple questions about the slide.

1. Is it possible to set text messages to auto delete when the inbox is full?

2. Can I save messages to my microsd card?

FYI The sidekick slide is supprisingly a solid device. Other than the screen it is pretty much identical to the LX other than it's smaller! This is a great texting device, and I predict it to be almost as successful as the LX. Sidekick users love this phone.

The slide is gonna be just like the LX as far as features. It is smaller and I dont know if i like the slide feature. Sidekicks are known for their swivel screens. the main thing is the color. Black with puple accents. I dont know many guys that would be caught dead with a purple phone.

ok so i plan on buying a sidekick soon
but one problem, i don't know which one i want
SLIDE: i like the color of the scarlet slide
and how sturdy the sliding mechanism feels
i don't know about the keyboard though
i'm a 17 yr old boy and i have pretty large fingers
and i like the overall shape of the slide
LX: LOVE the screen, great keyboard
like having a flash for the camera
(even though the camera sucks, slide's camera is better)
i don't really like how big it is
and how flimsy the swivel feels
also don't like that there is less internal
memory than the slide
and now that they are the same price
i'm really stuck!
(i would get the brown skLX absolutely hate blue)
any comments or suggestions would be great

I was just wondering if the roller ball on the slide flashes different colors and also...can u control the colors and patterns it flashes like on the other Sidekick phones??

I have a sidekick slide and a nice feature is the new setup of the mail. It allows you to add external email accounts and access them the same way you access T-Mail. I'm wondering if anyone has successfully added an MSN email account or knows how to successfully add an MSN email account. I have tried several different ways and have not been successful. Just to let you know I am talking about an MSN account (i.e. abcde555@MSN.com) not a hotmail account (abcde@hotmail.com). They use the same website to sign in but you have to input msn.com instead of hotmail.com. I think this might be part of the problem because I believe the phone is trying to access my account as hotmail.com (since that is the site you have to go to to access my email ...

ok im getting the sk slide soon for my birthday. and i was wondering if i dont pay the $20 a month for the internet+more, can i still get Myspace Mobile for the 1.99 a month??

hi i 've gone though two moto z3 rizer because of the shutting down and starting back up issue that a lot of motorola phones have that issue. i haven't notice that on the new moto phone with the linux based operating systems. well i am on my third handset with the rizer. and if this phone has the same issue i get another completely new had set. so far I've gone though the samsung. am not sure what other phone they will send me if this handset has the same issue. but if this is one of the handset they send me would you keep it? i know if doesn't have video messaging and the camera is a 1.3 not a 2.0 found in the rizer.

its only 199$ after rebates.
i think it will be better than any other sidekick simply because its my motorola .

i would def choose this over the lx.

what would be a good age to stop at? or is there no age.

i feel like the sidekick is a poormans version of a smartphone/blackberry. anyone agree?

What is the maximum size of micro SD card can I use for my sidekick slide? I ordered a 4G micro SD because I read on this site that it can support up to 4Gs. However, I just noticed on my user manual and TMoblie's Sidekick website that the slide can only support up to 2Gs. In addition, the they are on selling up to 2Gs in their accessories section (Tmoblie Sidekick website). So is it up to 2Gs or 4Gs??? I already spent it on the 4G...which I hope I can return online.

I read that this is Motorola's first Sidekick. But wasn't the earlier Sidekicks made by Motorola?

Has anyone who has purchased this phone had any trouble with the phone turning off when you open of close the screen? I am on phone number four is less than a week...I cant be the only one having this issue. I love the phone and dont want to have to get a different device completely. I have even tried different t-mobile stores. HELP!!!

So I showed this to my girlfriend who was just about to buy a sidekick slide for her daughter for a Christmas present (boy, what timing huh?). So she called T-Mo and spoke to inside sales and low and behold they found out that it was pulled and offered a A MUCH BETTER DEAL on a sidekick LX!!!!!
Man, that made her day!!
