Is there an easy way to get email on the voyager? I currently have the blackberry storm 2 and just cannot get used to the touch screen keyboard. I just heard on BLOOMBERG REPORT that the IPHONE is coming to Verizon in January of next year so replacing my phone with anything other than my old voyager is something that I don't know if I should do right now....

transferring text messages
🤤 Im using BitPim to transfer contacts and ringtones. it worked perfect however when i try to transfer the sms portion it doesn't work right. Bit pim pulled them in from my old phone but when i select send data to phone it doesn't send it...same phone. Voyager to Voyager. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
Not the answer to your question, but try forwarding them to a friend and have him/her send the messages to your new phone.

I know how to use the speaker phone with the phone open but i understand it can also work with the phone closed, does anyone know how to do this?????
I've heard that it doesn't work with the phone opened. The Env and Env2 both didn't work with the phone closed as well.

Mobile IM
Whenever I am done chatting on instant messenger client on my desktop somehow the mobile im client tries to log me into Yahoo....Can I uninstall Mobile IM chat?
Not that I know of but you can erase your yahoo login information so the client isn't able to log you in all the time. It's in the mobile im settings i think otherwise just do a reset of the phone itself.

My wife has a Titanium Voyager, and she uses Hotmail calendar on computer. Any way to get her meetings, appts etc to her phone, or even view the calender? I've tried to investigate online, so much conflicting information.

Between this and the Samsung Glyde
Hey i was just wondering. Which phone is better? This one or the Glyde. The Rep told me the voyager is one to go with because it has backup dialing while the glyde does not. But i don't want to keep the phone flipped open just to use speaker. I was really going to use my bluetooth more than speaker. So what do you think?
It's not even close! The software on the Glyde is horrible! Everything about the Voyager functions ten times better than on the Glyde.

voyager keeps rebooting
does anyone know why this phone keeps rebooting? i have replaced it three times and still have the same issue. verizon says it has the latest firmware installed and they dont know of any issue with this phone. i am at wits end. can someone please help me. i am ready to return this phone for the 4th time although i really love this phone.
i swear all lg phones or most do that its like a disease this is the only major thing thats keeping me from buying lg

Sounds like you have two choices -- keep taking it back until you get one that works as designed, or have verizon replace it with a different brand or model.

Moved--now reception is terrible.
Well, I moved (only about 15 minutes from my last house) and the reception inside the house keeps dropping calls. Sending a text but mostly picture messages is awful unless I go out on the front porch.
Any ways (aside from *228 to update towers) that you know of that might help us?

Move Contacts
My contract is up with my current carrier (I have the RL-4920). I would like know how to move my 200+ contacts from this phone to a Voyager-it is the phone that I will probably get if I switch to Verizon.
I have not switched service yet and would appreciate any tips/advice on moving these contacts, as well as any "if only I'd known BEFORE I switched carriers" advice you could give.

A verizon company store should be able to transfer them for you. You can also see if your phone is supported by bitpim. If so, you can make a copy of the contacts and other features and transfer them yourself.

Viewing photos on Voyager
Can I transfer photos from my computer to my Voyager using the USB cable? I have a storage card installed, do not have bitpim. I tried tools>USB mass storage. That allowed me to transfer photos from the phone to the computer but not the other way around. Thanks for any help.
I have done the same process. I have never had a problem. I just go into my computer and open the storage and put pictures in my flix. Works like a charm

I don't get the VZW menu on the Voyager browser. I used to access favorites and local SuperPages to look up business addresses and telephone numbers that are easily added to my Contacts list at the press of a button.

Is there a way to enter text on the touch screen where it fills the words in as Motorola phones do?
Not that I know of. And you can't get a qwerty keyboard on the front screen for texting, either.

When you get to the point you are entering the message, select the lower left button which defaults to Abc. Select Word from the list. That puts the phone into t9 mode.

Last week my sister bought a Voyager and out of pocket (she had her $50 credit ) was $29.99 after rebate. Now, the price is up $70 more than than. Anyway around that? Would calling customer service help?
