Verizon Launches First 3.2 Megapixel Camera Phone

Sorry for the newbie question, but do you HAVE to use the Music Essentials kit software and cable to transfer music to the phone? I tried clicking and dragging WMAs into my songs folder on the phone..but it kept saying it could not play. If I cant transfer my existing music to the phone, I might as well not have it. Thanks

Does this phone allow for speakerphone while the phone is closed? I had the A930, and I could talk usuing speakerphone when the phone was closed.

are the bars always red on the ui on this particular phone or can you change the color/style of the like on other vzw phones such as the enV or chocolate? just wondering before I decide on which phone I'll get...

i wanted to upgrade(verizon) from my a970 to the 990 sammy..but notice on PS's site the 990 is listed as sammy's flagship 2006 model....but I didn't see anything in the coverage(2007 ces) about a new flagship model...has anyone heard anything?..thank you...

Is there going to be a replacement for this phone soon? I'd like to know before I get a new phone.

What would be a better phone.. This phone or the razr 2 v9m? Those are the two I'm, thinking of if the razr 2 is out in the next month.. let me know what you think... 🙄

Whenever i am charging my A990, the backlight stays lit the entire time it is plugged in. Is this normal or am i missing a setting or something/somewhere? Thanks in advance

can anyone tell me if you can train words with samsungs predictive text? My old phone the LG 8100 would always remember previous words I used and would be come one of the scoll through words. This phone so far unfortunately does that do that and it makes it very hard to swear!!!!!!!!!!!!!hahaha

just traded this phone with another member, when i try to save my ringtone to the card like i use to do when i had this phone befor, its now saying cant save sound to the card,save to phone??? i never had one ever say that befor??? now i have the original software and using a 2gb memory card, that wouldnt have anything to do with it would it???

can u use 2gb micro sd card with this?

Maybe this is old news, but I just noticed Amazon is selling the 2GB MicroSD card for $30. Wow - I paid $90 at a Verizon store for mine plus around $20 for the USB adapter. It's the best thing I ever got for this phone.

FYI - Amazon also has the card with adapter for $44. Save your money and avoid those thieves at Verizon...

Can anyone tell me if this phone does caller picture ID's and caller ring tones.

I am looking to sell my SCH A990. It is 10 months old and in excellent condition. My new job requires international travel so I am switching to Cingular and a quad band phone. I am looking for $190 in order to cover the expense of cancelling my contract.

Anyone know if this phone is going to become cheaper or phased out anytime soon?. I hope it's still around in May when my contract is up.

I just bought this phone, and its amazing. The one problem I am having is that I signed into mobile IM this afternoon, and now, despite the fact that I am signed off from aim on my phone, I keep getting the messages there. I am afraid its eating my text messages.

On my last phone, vx8100, this would only happen when was explicitly signed into aim. I specifically went back onto aim and clicked "sign off and exit" but no luck, I still keep getting the notifications each time someone sends me an im.

What can I do to turn this feature off?
