Sprint To Rein In Boost
The Sprint way of doing business is broken
👿 I work for sprint directly at a High traffic store in Maryland, I sell both consumer and business customers. I see first hand why sprint will never be the premier carrier that verizon is. Not until they fix the poor customer experience that leads to irate customers, we need a customer care rep in every store not to mention a security guard. I personally have verizon and I see first hand the different experience that you feel when you walk into a VZW store and a Sprint store.
By the way Boost mobile is ghetto wireless at its finest just listen to the hold music when you call customer service. And I am a young black male =) so that I'm not racist in any way.

Sprint has the potential to truly dominate the wireless market!
Some poster's here have pointed out that when the new iDEN/CDMA hybrid handsets are released Sprint's iDEN capacity will be much less strained because the iDEN network will no longer need to carry as many traditional cell calls that require more bandwidth than the PTT calls require. This is true, and an excellent short term fix!
There is a solution that only Sprint is positioned to utilize thanks to the Nextel merger, which if implemented could solve not only the iDEN network capacity problem, but also Sprint's rebranding and Sprint's slowing growth of new subscribers.

It is not that simple because it is a source of income for Sprint. The only problem is that it is on the wrong network because Sprint has ample spectrum and capacity while Nextel does not especially going through the FCC re-banding plan.

Sprint did this to themselves
A few months ago, Sprint changed the credit classes to be more expensive for nextel IN AN EFFORT TO SELL MORE BOOST. They actually went on record and said that. Now they want to change their own doing because it worked out too well? Maybe if they did NOT outsource their customer service and hired people in the United States that actually speak english (not engrish or engwish), they would actually have a great customer base that don't want to port out when their contract is over. That is one thing that Nextel and Boost have, GREAT customer service (that 😲 SPEAK ENGLISH)

A SIMPLE solution...
Why doesn't Sprint just use the new dual-mode phones for Boost too? There is no law that says Boost HAS to be 100% iDen! Why not have PTT oniDen and voice on CDMA. EVERYONE will be happy!

Well, it is not a great situation for Sprint but, it will get better when Qchat comes about and the FCC re-banding plan is complete, but by then, Qchat will be on the network and then you will see changes.
