HOW so?

How does this exactly compliment bluetooth? You might as well just USE bluetooth in these situations where you need a "low power short distance wireless protocol".

Why not use Zigbee?

..sounds like an attempt to push out zigbee and bluetooth in favor of a protocol/hardware of which its interlectual property can be controlled and capitalized upon.
