to put thumbprint readers on the phone so that they can be locked down when not in use... so that way your credit card information can't be accidentally used.
maybe in 2008... this is good enough for 2007... lets not get ahead of ourselves and jump into something we'll regret...

So does this mean if someone was to lose their phone anyone could just tap away and use their money. This seems very dangerous to me. I would never have my credit card information on my phone.
Another thing...why do people have such a problem with having to show their id in order to use a cc or check. It is really meant for their protection. It's scary to know how easy it is to steal someones money. I hope this never happens to me.

Just as dangerous if you lose your actual credit card. First people would have to know you phone is your card to use it if you lost it, then, even if they did, you still would have every right to contest charges with your credit card company, the sam...

DIY Contactless Phone Payment...
American Express offers the ExpressPay keychain RFID credit card (both for charge card and prepaid). The key fob is less than an 1/8" thick and about 2" inches long. The precise size to fit behind any battery door on a cell phone.
