7 months, pro 2 Verizon
Updated to Android 9 PIE today. It has been receiving almost monthly security updates. There have been some issues that have all been fixed now. there was a delay of about 5 seconds before you could answer a call after you received one. The quick access external camera button sometimes caused a black screen and no way to operate the camera without going to the recent apps button and closing the camera app. Every time the phone was shut off Message+ had to restart. And a few other minor glitches along the way that have all been fixed now. I think it's finally ready for prime time.
March 2020, still getting almost monthly updates and all is good.
So so
I bought one on FirstNet and had it for less than a day and exchanged it for the Sonim. The Kyocera hands down doesn’t NOT compete with the Sonim. The Kyocera is very slippery in your hands and the rubber/plastic shell has the feel of cheap plastic. One fall and it’s going to scratch easily. The only thing going for it is the sapphire display.
