Mobile TV Password
Hey all.....
on the krave....when you click on the mobile tv icon ...and hold down on volume key on the side....it takes you to a password screen.
Just wondering if anyone knows what this screen is for....what the password is......and any other info....?
also...why you can't send face emotions in a text message with this phone?
Thank You!

internal speaker
Has anyone had a problem hearing from the internal speaker when you call someone? I've had to wait for the person to pick up and switch to speaker phone just to hear them.
That's one thing this phone doesn't seem to have a problem with - the earpiece, and we have two others around work here that have the same phone. Better get it checked out...

Bluetooth connectivity
Has anyone yet tried to connect their Krave to their computer via Bluetooth and do something useful with it? Maybe download pics, etc?

Speed Dial?
I have been reading reviews on the Krave and I am confused about something. Is there any type of "Speed Dial" function on this phone? Example: On my current Sony phone (AT&T) I can call home by simply hitting the number 1 and then "Call. My wife is 2 "call", my son is 3 "call" and so on. Does the Krave have anything similar? What's the fastest way to dial frequently called numbers? Thanks in advance.

I was playing with this phone in the store, it had the latest update which does update itself over the air. I just can't get use to the keyboard; with the flip cover on the left side it makes two thumb typing almost impossible.

I ordered the Krave for my mom, the package came in and I set it up for her...the new ones come with the updated software. And yes, it does have good old-fashioned speed dial! Looks like they've also changed the way the dialpad looks and added more cu...

Battery dies so fast
Help. I have ZN4, i like the phone, however it seems like it's always on the charger. i get maybe 24-36 hours on a charge, when I'm not using it.
I have Bluetooth off, is there something else running that i need to turn off? And how? my last phone had a task manager and i could turn everything off, i can't find that on this one.
I can take a completely charged phone and make a 10min call and I'll be down a full bar. by the end of the day it needs to be charged. it's driving me crazy.
Is this a verizon thing? my wife has a palm and it can't hold a charge to save it's life. I'm still in my 30 days so i'm think maybe i go back to t-mobile or AT&T. I can't stand them, but it's better then dealing with 2yr of a dead phone ...

Lack of Moto support and proper updates!
I've had this phone since October, and basically I feel the Krave is an unfinished product.
What's incredible to me is that we've had 2 minor updates since release and they have done NOTHING to fix the major gripes:
1. No speed dials
2. No customizable shortcuts from the external flip
3. No way to recalibrate the touch screen
4. Sometimes the touch screen loses responsiveness altogether for no reason, like while texting, or when you get a message and go to hit View Now.
5. Phone completely locks up on me when calling voicemail or any automated system using prompts.
I'm getting frustrated with this phone, and I don't think Motorola or Verizon are doing anything to improve this phone.
I've had my Krave since November and noticed an update in December. Then I was at my VZN store and upgraded it again last month. I have to say it's working better now. Ya gotta think there should be another upgrade before long.
It was for all of those reasons that I returned my Krave after about 10 days and went with the Titanium Voyager. I really miss Moto's call quality...but that's about it. Good luck!
Update available through Motorola MSU. Adds speed dial and changes the layout of the keyboards to make them easier to use.

Pictures and Videos
OK i have the phone and i'm playing with it non-stop. however i'm trying to get some photos on it. I've taken my SD card out and moved them directly into the my_pix directly on the card.
However the file show up on the phone but won't preview them or show them when flip thru the photo album.
I've also connected the data cable, but it doesn't seem to do anything either.
Please Help...
What file type are your pix? Do they have really long names or funky characters in the name?

Battery life question with Mobile Email
I was wondering what anybody's thoughts were regarding Mobile Email chewing into the battery life. I came home from vacation yetserday with the battery completely drained and put it on the home charger. After is said "Battery Completely Charged", I took it off the charger and turned the phone on. This was at about 11pm. I woke up this morning around 10am and the battery was down to 2 bars from 4. The only think that could have been going on was the relay from the Mobile Email. Anybody else experiencing anything like this?? FYI, I get perfect service as I can see the tower from my house here in Florida & it is also a phone I just purchased this past Tuesday so perhaps the battery needs to go through a few more charge cycles.
I have that issue as well! I had no issues for the first month or so when I first got my Krave. But then I loaded the Mobile Email application and saw my battery get low after sitting on all night with an incoming email notification on the display. I ...

Finally upgraded!!
I have finally upgraded my Audiovox 9900...yes..that one. It should have won an award for best phone ever!! Anyways, went with the Krave since I thought was a great looking phone. One of the only faults I see is how the qwerty keyboard doesn't seem user friendly since the flip gets in the way of your left hand. Anybody find a fix for this such as using it with the flip cover? Also, I am interested in the mobile email since it will in a way let me know what an email has arrived, sort of like a fake BB if I'm not mistaken. I understand its $5/mo & then $1.99 MB. On average, how many emails would fit into 1MB? Looking over my options, the only other thing to do would be the VPAK for $15 and the $5 mobile email feature for unlimited. Pl...

Mp3 Ringtones / ical or isync
has anyone tried to send mp3 ringtones? does it work? anyone also try sync with a mac?
I was able to use my own MP3 ringtones. I sent myself a Pic-Voice message with a small MP3 I put on my memory card in the sounds folder, worked great!

Why no recent activity about this phone?
The title pretty much asks my question but really, why is there not more chatter about this phone? Is it because no one likes it and doesnt own it, or is it so awesome and everyone understands everything about it? (which i know is not the case).
Long story short, I love flip phones, and i love full key boards, so is this the phone for me or should i hold on to Alias? I pretty much read all of the reviews, and all the treads here so any more info on the phone or why this board is dead would be greatly appreciated.
I was thinking the same thing myself. My coworker got one about a month ago and I've been playing with it. I have mixed feelings about it. I think it will be a bit harder to use than a "normal keypad" type, but I am intrigued with it nonetheless. ...

I had this phone for about 2 weeks before returning it. I bought it for Moto's known excellence in sound and call quality (which it has), but it lacked some of the most basic things that it turned out to be a dealbreaker for me.

Visual voicemail - record voice message for reply/forward
Has anyone else had problems with trying to record a reply to a voice message? The recorder doesn't seem to work at all, even with Verizon numbers. I've tried taking the battery in/out, but it still acts up and stops working after awhile.

Answering .....
Sorry n advance for the dumb question....
When answering the phone without the use of bluetooth/headset etc, do you flip open the phone to answer it? Is the clear part of the phone just for protection or does it actually function?
If so does it also hangup once you close it as in regular flip/clamshell phones???
Thanks!!! 😕 🙂
Yes you can answer the phone by opening the flip and end call by closing it, you can also answer with the flip closed but it will be on speaker phone. The clear flip is a functioning part if the phone.

Music and Pictures as Contact Entries?
I'm considering new phones and one of the things I like best about my current phone is that I can make my own mp3 ringtones on my computer and condense pictures to an acceptable size, save them on my TransFlash card for my phone, then save them to my phone to be used as Individual Contact Pictures and Individual Contact Ringtones. (I have to text the music files to myself then save them from the Sent message currently) Can I get the same result from this phone? Either by the same method or a different/easier way?
Many thanks for the responses!
You can play music and pictures and sounds from your memory card and transfer them to your phone if you want to. You can also use a cable or the Bluetooth to transfer those files.
You can not transfer media for use as ringtones however, without ha...

How is this phone working out for everyone so fare?? Battery life? Good reception? How is the touch screen?? Details?? 😁
I’m not sure if I like this phone yet, it’s a cool design but I just don’t think it fits my face good when I would be talking on it.
I have had all of the Verizon touchscreen phones this is the best one by far the touch screen is different closer to the iphone. When you use it you barley have to touch it unlike the other touchscreen phones,Reception what can I say it's a Motorola ...

opinions needed
Hello all,
I currently have a blackberry 8130 and my company has decided to cut cost and no longer reimburse the cost of my bberry data plan. In an attempt to reduce my personal expense I have decided to do away with the device all together. I have had an Iphone and really liked the device....but not the network (sorry at&t fans, just how it is) one of my roomies has the dare, and I don't really like it. Just wondering if this phone is worth the $350 price tag (nowhere near my new every two)
Sell the 8130 on e-bay and use that money to put towards the new phone.
Samsung has some of the best sound quality out of all the phones Verizon carries.
LG is the worst (and I WAS an LG fan until I owned 2 of them).
The Dare is a fun phone (No k...

Battery life....
Is the battery life on this phone lame or what? I have had it exactly 24 hours and tonight I will have to recharge it for a second time. I have only made about 50-60 minutes of calls and very little browser use. 😲
Then either you have a bad battery or your phone didn't properly charge. You should be able to get 2-3 days out of this phone easily with light use.
The battery is large at 950mAh. This phone only has one screen. Remember, most phones have an ex...

What about other uses? If you're not leaving this phone on standby, the battery will die on any phone.
Exactly which phone are you comparing this to?
I am getting about 4 hrs talk, 6hrs video, 16 hrs music.
All together it gets the same mixed use life as my V9m with extended battery.
The regular battery does so well IMHO, because it doesn't have a big external display to keep powered on.
