Review: LG Lotus

We took our Lotuses on their first car trip.

We were surprised when we hooked the usb cables into our usb/12-volt iPod charger that the phone said something along the lines of "Please switch to LG Travel Charger".

Is the phone only programmed to recognize LG wall and travel chargers?

I've enjoyed my Lotus for the past year, I'm still happy with it, but might be upgrading to a smartphone soon.

I just wanted to share with everyone curious enough that you can save movies on your SDcard and play them on your phone. If you can get over the smallish screen (which doesn't bother me, same as a BlackBerry Curve) or the 2.5mm earphone jack, (this does bug me the most). Then you can watch movies on your phone. They need to be a .3gp file, which you could covert using Quicktime or maybe Handbrake and go from there. I'm sure there are other blogs about how to do it better, but it's pretty easy.

So I have been told that there is a way to remove the Sprint carousel 'one click' menu off of the home screen of this phone but I don't know how to go about doing that. Has anyone done this and willing to tell me how to do it? 😁

OK, just got the new red Lotus for my wife. With the songs I download from sprints music store, I can assign them to a contact as a ring tone, no problem. But when I hooked up the phone via usb to her pc, It easily copied songs from her pc to the LG Lotus music folder. Then I unhooked the usb cable, found the songs by looking at the memory card manager, then copied them into the music player. So they play, but I can't seem to assign them to contacts. I see an option for "assigned media" but I don't see that mentioned in the manual at all.
How can I get an mp3 that's in the music player assigned to a contact as a ring tone? Please, I need very specific direction. I can follow directions, but they need to be in order and clear please. I've a...

I got the LG lotus when it first came out and was in love with everything except that ist didnt sync with outlook, has the phone been updated with the feature?
I love LG phones, I currently use the palm centro because it syncs with outlook (i don't use the email) I dont want to have to re enter my phone book. I'm bord with the centro and would love a better camera.

🤨 is anyone having issues with certain keys on their keyboad. All of a sudden my 'D', 'O', 'P' and my down arrow keys do not work. I can't text with those letters and can't dial any number with the 5.

Hey there. The Sprint store salesman told me to download a song of myxer.com onto my computer and then put it into iTunes (iPhone app). Does anyone out there know what to do next to get the ringtone onto the phone?

Anyone have any problems where the lotus will constantly and continuously turn itself on and off in a vicious cycle of rebooting? For no apparent reason? right now ive been experiancing the problem all day when attempting to send a text. its rebooted itself as im typing the text like 10-12 times now and its honestly a pain in the neck.

Am having a tough time running You Tube on the Lotus, it will hang or reboot the phone....any ideas? Also is there a flash player for it that I can download? 😎

Ok, here is my problem. I received a picture mail with sound. I can't look at the picture and listen to the sound at the same time. The first screen that comes up says press ok for sound. I hear the sound, then have to go to the next page to see the picture. WTF? Also when I receive a picture mail that is animated, I can't see the animation. Any help would be appreciated.

Greetings all. I bought my wife the Motorola S9 bluetooth headphones for her Lotus but shes having some issues. The phone and the headphones pair up ok and the music player pushes audio to the headphones, but it's starting to "jump in and out" during playback. It started to happen a little and seems to have progressively gotten more frequent. She's got the phone on her, so distance from the headphones is not an issue. I also tested the headphones on my Blackberry, and they work fine. Both devices are fully charged.

Any suggestions? Maybe a software update on the phone? Can that be done over the air with Sprint?

Is there a setting that I need to change on my Lotus to be able to switch from Headset mode (mono) to headphones mode (stereo) so I can listen to music..??

When I plug in my headset I can hear it through one ear, but not both..!!
