Credit Check for Contract and Ocean 2?
How do they do their contract plans? Do you have a credit check? I want this phone more than anything but I usually have a security deposit with other carriers....do they have a credit check for their contract plans? Thanks for the info!

Autosave?
I read a review of the first ocean last year, and there was only one thing that stopped me from really wanting it. The reviewer was writing the review on their phone, and set it down, and of course the phone eventually went to sleep... and in doing so deleted everything they'd written. I was wondering if this had been addressed with the Ocean 2. I write on my phone quite a bit, and if there's still no autosave I guess I'll have to stick with my ancient Sidekick II.

Txt Msg'b address bar upgrade?
I have & really like the Ocean but an annoying thing with the original is creating a txt message. You can only type numbers into the "to" bar and not the letters of your contacts names. You have to click on contacts then find a name if you have texted that person recently or go back to your address book then find the person to add their name if you haven't texted them recently. This is really dumb. To txt really quickly you would have to memorize the phone numbers of everyone you know. I'm not sure about you but I really don't remember anyones # unless I've been calling them for years before the advent of cellphones w/ address books. Has this been fixed in the Ocean 2? Can you enter contacts into the address bar on a message or do you still ...

Well, IMO...I've never seen this as a broken feature. I think it works really well. I've always searched thru my Contacts to enter my recipient's #'s...especially great if you're entering several recipients at once.
If I'm understanding you...your ...

Pre or Post Paid
Does anyone know if the Ocean 2 will be pre or post paid. I wanted to give my nephew one for his birthday, but didnt want to sign a contract for it. I know that all of Virgin Mobile's phone are prepaid. Just want to make sure before I go out and buy it.
The Helio service is post paid, and as far as I know to take advantage of the new customer pricing - a 2 year contract is required. However, I'm not sure if Virgin is making this phone available on their lineup of devices and services or not.
Hope th...

Is it me...
...or is the top row of the numeric keypad blocked by the slider?!?! 😳
Jesus...what this phone could've been.
No. That's partly my error, although it's related to a different flaw of the Ocean 2.
Virgin didn't supply us with quite the photos we needed, so I took my own photos.
I had the phone propped up at an angle to take that photo, and the top...

this would have been a hot phone
Yeah, being such a brick and only having a 2.0 MP camera kinda sets it quite a ways back compared to the competitors...
I guess only time will tell how it'll sell.
LOL...actually the first Ocean came out almost 2 yrs ago! This is nothing more than the first Ocean with a facelift!
Lame... 🙄
