Video Tour: LG Rumor2

I notice it tends to reboot if I let it sit for an extended period of time. Its only like 3 seconds. Is this normal?

I am with Verizon.I am due for an upgrade and am looking for a phone w/ good quality sound,reception and long battery life. Any experiences with the LG Cosmos?

I am receving this phone as a comp model for my X_tc phone and they arent sending me a user manual for the phone. Does any one know where I can get the manual for the virgin mobile version of the rumor 2?

How many times does the Cosmos vibrate? I currently have a Samsung Intensity and dislike the three vibrations when a text is received. I'm hoping the Cosmos only vibrates once but am not sure how to find out...

I was wondering if it was possible to store all my texts on my SD card. I have tried to figure it out, but I dont see any way to do it.

They forgot to put a music player in the device!!!! hahaha!

Note to anyone who uses a Bluetooth headset and is considering getting this phone:

You have to put your headset in pairing mode and then go through several menu screens on the phone EACH time you pair the headset with the phone.

With my Sanyo Pro 200, you only have to "pair" it once and then and quickly connect that headset at anytime in the future without putting the headset in pairing mode and going through several menus on the phone.

I just sold my Rumor 2 after 1 month because of this problem among other annoying things (e.g., outbound call quality is bad).

I have had the Banter now for about a month. I would like to put in my own created ring tones, but I can't seem to get the music from the SD card to the phone. Would a data cable work better for this or is there a way I can create my own ring tones and put them in this phone?

Hi Forum,

Mother in law has this phone and I'd like to give her some pics to tote around. The pics are on the MicroSD card and you can see them when you use the Memory Card Manager but not when you use the My Albums feature. It reports "0 pics" on the memory card.

Any ideas?

Can anyone tell me if they've set up an unlocked LG Rumor on Virgin Mobile. I know that Virgin is on the Sprint network, so why shouldn't a Sprint branded LG Rumor work with Virgin Mobile?

my sister and i each got this phone on the same day a month ago, and she's only had this happen to her once: the info about an in-box text says-
sent: [time]
store: [time]
sent is when my friends text me; store is when my phone finally tells me i have a new message

the time between sent & store varies from 5 min to 23.5 hours
its inconvenient because i cannot know if someone text-ed me back and the message was stored or if my friend just hasn't responded yet

i called the 611 help number and was told to turn the phone off and remove the battery for 30 seconds every month or two so that it can readjust to the system because traveling messes with the satellite connection

Does anyone no where I can find a Lg rumor 2 oem housing? I found the original rumor housing but can't locate the rumor 2 housing. I drop my phone, there is damage and I can't stand my phone looking beat-up.

really sprint/lg? a rumor 2? why even waste time and money putting this out? it's not like sprint is out of the original rumors due to high sales. but it's been an after thought since the rant. at least the sanyo 2700 will be the same $30 price when it launches. and no video??? really?? ugh

I am having trouble with the music player. I previously had an Instinct with an 8GB SD card. I switched to the Rumor 2, pulled the SD card out of my Instinct and tried playing the music. Now, all of my music files are ripped with WMP in WMA format. The Rumor only recognized about 120 of my 1100 songs. So I went to other forums and they suggested formatting the card, and trying to re-load them. I did that, then tried to put some of the songs back on the card that were not working before. These songs still did not work. The Rumor tells me it's an "invalid file." I do not have the USB cord that's compatable with the Rumor - I just insert the SD card in my computer's slot and drag and drop my files. Has anyone had this problem and foun...

Okay I currently have the X_tc and the phone has not been very kind to me this is the first time I have ever had an issue with a kyocera phone. I just needed to know would you say the Rumor or the X_tc is better cause im on my first replacment and it crapping out on me too so i'll have to call VM to get the issue resolved or another phone. But with the sh*t I have been through I just want another phone how good is this rumor compared to the X_tc?

I have had the lg banter for two days now and it's really nice but i have had to charge it twice, it didn't even last ten hours of just being on. I don't have bluetooth on and i don't use for anything but texting and picture messaging. I am not a major texter and i don't call people. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Just a heads up for y'all...

I just got off the phone with US Cellular and asked about the LG Banter. Apparently, they aren't currently offering it due to "software issues."

I have had this phone for almost two months now and it seems to have the random powering off and back on problem. Happens usually every other day. Anyone else having this problem?

Which phone would you use?? The Rumor 2 or the Rant?? I own the Rant and love the Sprint One - Click Menu which the Rumor 2 doesn't have. Please give your opinion!!

I've had this phone for about 5 days now, and I'm pretty impressed so far, however I'm coming from a Samsung SGH-D807, which is a pretty low end phone. Basically, this phone is a nice step up from my previous phone.

All together I paid 39.99 for the phone. They gave me a $50 mail in rebate, along with a 10% in store discount. For the price I paid, I think this is a great bargain, and I couldn't be happier.

I'm still getting used to the Sprint service though. Unlike AT&T, If you didn't sign up for a data plan, Sprint still allows you to surf the web and such. Whereas AT&T disabled that feature if it's not included in your plan. I guess it's a way for Sprint to make a little more money by offering the option of the service.
