Moto on VZW
Moto needs to take control of the software Verizon puts on their phones. The VZW UI makes all the Moto phones so slow they are barely usable! I have had 4 Moto phones on VZW in the last 4 years, all have mechanically functioned great. With the exception of the RAZR v3m that flat out broke two times, the only issue I have ever had is a slow UI on all VZW Moto phones after the e815! Because the UI is so slow, and gets slower as the phone gets older, VZW customers believe that the Moto product is bad. Hopefully this issue will be cured with the new Google UI that VZW should be adopting.

1. Moto build quality has lately been subpar with a lot of the other phones out there (eg Samsung / LG) when comparing them to the RAZR RIZR...
2. Moto's prices are extremely high as compared to the compitition
3. iPhone - a great deal of people moved over to AT&T to get it, leaving behind their Moto's with other carriers/AT&T
4. Sprint (/Nextel) is doing poorly (another news post about them cutting jobs here on PhoneScoop), which we all know Nextel only carries Moto products (which will change once they migrate from iDen).

...Please update the Ming for 2008, and bring it to CDMA. We've seen that you are capable of making a sexy yet functional smartphone (and it ain't the Q).
If priced correctly, it could be a hot seller.
Also, as a dealer, I'd like you to know that the reason we don't sell many of your products is the ridiculous cost. The Razr MAXX - $370? Are you kidding me? The RAZR2 - $450!? The RIZR - $300! It costs too much money to keep more than a few in stock!

I second that. They wait way after the fact to release the ming for the US .I was gonna get a ming to. But by the time they had one that would work here all kinds of other phones had come out. And the Branded phones for the US are lack luster for sur...

Are you kidding! They have always had some of the best mobile phones as well as two way phones out there not not mention numerous other communication products!
