WE WANT FEMTOCELLS!!!!

What's wrong with wireless carriers, that they can't understand that their customers actually care about technology and would like to see improved service?
I have no idea what's wrong with them. ...to be fair, though, I'd prefer wifi phones that made calls over my wireless network. :-)

Actually Sprint is using FemtooCell except the device is provided by Samsung. The service is called Airave and right now is still in test phase in Denver and Indiannapolis market.

Band plan when using TDMA GSM?

While I can see this working in CDMA and UMTS environments with little trouble, can someone explain to me how one would integrate hundreds of tiny little GSM transmitters into an existing band plan? How would you keep all of these devices from:

a) creating tons of noise on the band in general, especially in dense areas

b) accidental reuse of a GSM channel, causing interference in random time slots at the tower and a failed handoff?
