Alltel to Be Sold At Best Buy Stores

What carrier is BestBuy removing from their line up. Just a little while ago, in Tallahassee FL, that best buy lost Verizon Wireless for T-Mobile. I still think that it was the stupid move of doing but hey I don't float a yacht.

Why are they still in business

I remember reading that they were looking for a buyer. Why are they still in business? Why didn't sprint or verizon take them yet? I heard that they don't even have their own towers and use verizon/sprint.

Um.... actually Alltel did get bought by a private equity firm and has always done pretty well. They have got to be making a fortune from roaming agreements with all of the rural southwest that they cover.

They have their own cell sites. Their coverage in eastern NC is 100% better then Sprint or Verizon.

Why is WHO still in business? Alltel? They are still in business because they are one of the best, if not the best, carrier.

And that would be funny if Sprint buys Alltel. Back in the early to mid 90s, it was called Sprint. Then the name change...
