Instinct HD Video Out feature

I'm confused about the video out feature on the Instinct HD. Does this work only when playing back recorded video and photos or does it also work to display Sprint TV content (or whatever is being displayed on the Instinct screen at the time) on your big screen home television? If so, that would be amazing. I'm hoping that's the case.
What I've heard, both

HDMI?

I'm having a hard time understanding what I would want to use the HDMI out on this phone for. I understand that you could show movies you've taken on your phone on a TV, and if you're watching music videos you could do the same, but does that really make it a great feature? Just not sure that this phone is enough of an improvement over the S30, or even the original Instinct (which I have and LOVE LOVE LOVE), especially considering that the S30 was hardly a great improvement over the original.
The bigger feature is that you can record true HD video. That's extremely rare.

It also has a 5-megapixel auto-focus camera for still photos, which is pretty decent (certainly a huge step up from previous Instincts.)

More display resolution is a...

Hypothetical name of the Instinct Q: Samsung Intrepid

Well that's what I think because a saw the recent Sprint mail in rebate form that expires on 10/31/09 mention 2 probable names for this phone: Samsung Intrepid( I think this the one)or Samsung Moment. I wanna know your opinions
Nope, the intrepid is a going to be similar to the ace its a worldwide phone, but it will be touch screen. Im not sure on "the moment" but as far as i know the instinct Q is just the Instinct Q.

PS You Jumped the Gun 9-29-2009 as of 1627 hours EDT

Sprint Telesales Representatives do not even know what device this is, nor can they locate any research information on this model after a few minutes of Telesales conference huddles among co-workers. Furthermore, Best Buy Mobile doesn't claim this model either, being equally dumbfounded when questioned. 😕
It's supposed to be exclusive to Best Buy Mobile until Oct. 11.
It was released via Best Buy Mobile on Sept. 27. It's available now:

Half Duplex Speakerphone???

PhoneScoop's Specs say this phone has a Half Duplex Speakerphone. Thier definition of implys that only one person can speak at a time like a Walkie Talkie. I find this hard to believe that all Newer Cell Phone would not have FULL Duplex Speakerphones
True full-duplex speakerphones are somewhat rare in cell phones. It requires relatively sophisticated sound processing to prevent feedback. Most speakerphones in cell phones are half-duplex, but most do a good enough job detecting who's speaking - and...

Camera options

Just wanted to mention that when the self timer was accidentally activated when trying to scroll through the camera's options, it is easier to scroll by scrolling touching the option names on the left side of the screen and using them to scroll. I've yet to be able to scroll trying to move that tiny scroll bar on the right side of the menu.

Also, there are a few good options that were not shown. Under ISO when scrolling down, there is also a Metering option, Hand Jitter(a type of Image stabilization), Image Quality, White Balance, Saturation, Contrast, and Sharpness.

Additionally, there are shooting modes under the little square looking menu item on the left side. You can select Single Shot, Series shot(allows you to take 3, 5 or 10 pi...
