I'm not quite sure about this, but I was wondering if the lack of stereo bluetooth and video capabilities was hardware related, or just lack of support in Android itself. Anyone know?

Its software related. So this update will take fix that.
the real question is when will the G1 support microsoft outlook and other corporate email! 👀
