Review: Motorola i1

ay have motorola I1 locked network how to find this code

Even though iDEN is gone on the Sprint network, this phone makes a decent 2 way walkie talkie. Off network direct connect thankfully doesn't require a cellular connection. At least it isn't a total waste of money.

Can anyone help me get my Outlook addresses to my I1 phone such that they are fully usable??? I bought this phone assuming I could download my Outlook addresses into a smartphone. The DejaOffice app did that, but it doesn't allow me to do much (i.e., it sets up a very weak seperate app that as far as I can tell, can't text more than one person at a time, can't search by just typing in a name, and can't use the voice function to find anything). In other words, by switching to Deja Office, I lose most of the functionality of a decent smartphone. So then I turned to google, which supposedly has a relationship with Boost Mobile. I downloaded my entire address book to google (which isn't my first choice, as I know that it exposes me to a wor...

Im capable to go to youtube on my i1 but when I try waqtching a video im not able or it doesnt show up...anyone know if the i1 is capable of watching youtube vids

I would like to know with boost mobile do you have to pay extra for the android data plan or any data than the 50 dollars unlimited plan they already have?? Thank you..

This may sound trivial, but it is important to me.


I know this phone is going to be a boon for Nextel, Southernlinc and Boost Mobile. But here is the thing.

How in God's name can you call a phone Rugged when it has a ton of Glass real estate? Is the glass shatter proof? I would be scared of having the damn thing on a holster or in my pocket in the chance and if I drop it the glass would spiderweb...

Why Boostmobile only sales trash phones? When the customers will have a decent Phone???

More of a generic comment than phone-specific, but why isn't any newly-released Android phone running the latest version of Android? This might help with the battery life issues.

No 3G? No 4G? Might as well call it the Motorola GIMP.

I have to ask, "WTF, Sprint?" Why have you not done ANYTHING with Nextel since picking up the network?

If Nextel was still independent, they would have developed their own 3G/4G network by now. Sprint, on the other hand, has done absolutely nothing with Nextel. They seem embarrassed by it.

The 3G/iDEN "hybrid" phones did work, BTW. My ic902 has been a great phone and it works better than any other Sprint phone out there. I just wish they would list the complaints that people had with the technology.

In short, if the phone is not at least 3G, then Sprint might as well NOT RELEASE it. Keep your junk, and offer us something that works, Sprint!!!

For the Nextel fans this phone seems pretty cool, I mean a PTT iDEN Android phone was one of the last things I thought would come out.

But I don't think iDEN and Android will be good for each other data speed wise. Correct me if I'm wrong. If you really want to have lots of 3G coverage on an Android phone you can get one on Verizon.

But what about PTT? You can download an app for PTT that runs over 3G. No it doesn't work like iDEN it works like a regular walkie-talkie. Anyone that's on the same channel as you can hear you, even if they're overseas. Newer updates seem like the developer is trying to go in the direction of personal channels and the like. The paid version will let you use the camera button as a dedicatd PTT butto...
