Samsung Intensity 1,2 and 3 questions.
Is it true the Samsung 2 and 3 don't have camera flashes? Does the Samsung Intensity 1 have a camera flash?

Questions about the Intensity
Hello! I've only used flip phones in the past, but I'm texting more and tired of using the keypad. I'm thinking about getting the Intensity because of the QWERTY keyboard. Do you continue to like the Intensity? Any serious issues/drawbacks? Are there any other similar phones - with QWERTY keyboard that don't require a data plan - that are worth having a look at? I would consider the Motorola Rival but it sounds like a disaster based on all the reviews.
Hi,
I thought I would tell you about my experience with the Intensity, and explain everything. The Intensity has excellent music speakers, and is very good for texting. I had the Alias before but it broke, and the keys were VERY hard to use on that m...

The rival isnt really a disaster. had a couple issues, but actually worked quite well. I owned iNTENsity for a brief timing and it worked well too. So if that will work for you, I guess get that phone. If not get the LG OCTANE it is a REALLY good phon...

PC Studio 3?
I got my Intensity today and I went through all of the motions to get it recognized by Samsung's PC Studio 3 with no luck.
Every time I connect my phone the wizard tells me there is no response from my phone, but I can see it as a removable disc in My Computer.
I am running Windows 7 x64 for starters. Could that be a problem? Or is the phone not even supported by PC Studio?
Thanks.
Same here.
I installed PC Studio3
Looks like Verizon did lock down the ability to

I tried to use BITPIM but it couldnt even access the phone either.
Only thing you can really do is pop in a memory card and yo...

windows drivers
I can't find em anywhere! has verizon succeeded in erasing them from the web in there never-ending quest to keep us from fully utilizing our cell phones??? 😡
Install Samsung PC Studio 3, that will add the USB drivers to your system.
But after you do you will only be able to see your phone as a connected device, nothing more.
YOu have to install a memory card into it so you can work with the pics or mp3 f...

Intensity?
Why Intensity? Its a horrible description and a decent name that could have been saved for a better phone. Intensity is a name grabber that gets people in the 12-30 age demographic. They are into this intense/xtreme BS. However, this phone is clearly made for older, simpler users. There is nothing "intense" about a candy bar style phone that basically just makes calls. Oooh it has a vibrate feature? Intense!
Yeah you are right. Unfortunately there is nothing intense about it. With a name like that, I would expect better features from a device...
Same with the "samsung smooth."
This phone is made for Tweens, not older users. It has a slide out qwerty, supports Threaded SMS (and I'm assuming Mobile IM), a music player (with lots of expandable memory room) all ni a small form factor for sub-...
