What did you expect its T-Mobile!!!
If you read the article or did any amount of diggin at all, you'd have seen that this is not a network issue, but a device issue.
Meh...
I'm not a fanboy...I have an iPhone and I love it. Though I understand those who do not(in poor AT&T 3G areas I live in Dayton, OH and our AT&T 3G coverage here is amazing).

i cant belive this is still a mystery for some.
Yeah I know but it's just so stupid. It's not catchy like WTF or OMG.
Well, So what!
Hopefully this is just something that can be fixed by a firmware/software upgrade, maybe the phone was rushed to the market too soon. I still think this was a great move by htc and google.
Could even be a glitch with something in 2.1
Support Problems Good Reason to Avoid Nexus One
As I've said, the Nexus One could be a major misstep for Google and, so far, unhappy customers are proving me right. Sadly, quality telephone support isn't something Google can roll out overnight, which is another good reason for would-be customers to wait until Google has a better handle on support issues before purchasing a Nexus One.

It is ironic that TMO a company known for great customer support would pair with a company with no customer support. 🤣
Where have I seen this before?
However, HTC is branding the handset under someone else (like say, Audiovox or UTStarcom) , but it still says HTC on the phone... who do I get support from? HTC? No, they're telling me to go to the carrier. The carrier? No, they're telling me to go to Google. Google? Do they even HAVE suppport lines?
Where have I seen this before?
Oh, I know! Just about every HTC device I've ever owned or have come in contact with.
Sounds about right
Hope they figure this issue out
Often the fate of unlocked devices
That said, I am sure that there is going to be a series of patches in the next 30-60 days for many issues with the Nexus One before Google gets it right.

unbranded handset on ATT for over 2yrs now, without any problems with connecting to 3G. The Nokia N95-3. My experience has been great!
