That Blue Map
"AT&T has also notified Apple, which sells the application to iPhones, that the optimized application is free to run on AT&T's 3G network."
-You mean that blue map from the Verizon commercials, with those tiny coverage spots on it? 😳
Yeah, the one that covers millions of people!
You have a right to make that comment, but it makes you appear to be a troll.
...Something is up...
Okay...I'm all about companies trying to better themselves, but I feel like something is up. First, AT&T started allowing VOIP for the iPhone. Now this?
Either Apple is pulling some strings and forcing some hands or AT&T is getting nervous about something and so they are allowing their customers do more.
...or maybe they are just bettering themselves? I dunno...but now I definitely have to get a Slingbox...
I think the answer is Verizon is the bully that kicked at&t's ass recently and now while he's got his back to at&t celebrating his defeat at&t is up and about to pounce.
I think AT&T is better equipped to handle the data intensive customers they've got now. They're loosening up because their network capacity is better catching up to the demand.
That's been AT&T's mantra the entire time- they're trying to even the ...

I say FK U ATT, and I call it *FREEDOM*. I use my device how *I* want to use my device, not how some huge/greedy corporation tells me to.
Consumers rule!!!!!
looks like Verizon scares the pant out off ATT !
Verizon ads keep hyping they have 5 times more 3G coverage! ATT got to to something to keep their customers from leaving! ATT, you conter-ads against Verizon is not working!, all your ads do is defending yourself!, where verizon ads are funny!
Verizon ads WERE funny. Theyre overdoing the maps. The same way at&t overused the family with the little roll over minute clocks. Verizon is being backed into a corner because at&t isnt backing down. They still have the best smartphones. What goo...

AT&T is Kicking Some Serious *Bleep*!
I like this BOLD AT&T! (Pun intended) Unlimited data for $29.99 on the ipad (Gah that name is horrible), Slingplayer and Skype apps able to use the AT&T 3G network now. AT&T is really feeling itself it seems. They apparently are confident that the $18 billion to $19 billion it plans to spend in 2010 upgrading its wireless and backhaul networks to handle the onslaught of new traffic will do the trick. I sure hope so, because they are playing for keeps. I am very impressed!
I agree, they may have a smaller 3G network but they might as well make it the best. 😁
yeah, I'm hoping this 3x more fiber to the cell sites will make a big difference! Well, we're in the 2nd month of 2010, get with it ATT, deliver these upgrades already! Don't make me wait til November/December neither!
