Verizon also didn't sell android until recently, or webos, and isn't ZTE making a phone for Verizon? a 1x touchscreen?
Im thinking Virgin Mobile, UScellular, or some other discount carrier that dosent mind selling you cheapo phones.
Project "Pink" (WINMO 7) phone?
According to Engadget and others this profile fits for a new Window 7 Device that is part of Microsoft's "Pink" project.
Pink is a series of WINMO devices aimed at Teens/Young Adults and is built around Social networking.
I still think it looks like an egg phone.. but we'll have to see what Windows 7 looks like. Apparently they are basically doing a PalmOS-->WebOS level rewrite.
Microsoft might not be known for being stylish.. but when they want to do something... they do it.

I hope it is a success if this is what it is. It can help keep the pressure on Apple, Google, and maybe the Finns will wake up. More competition is always better for us as consumers.
Sharp phones
The worst phones I owned were made by sharp, pure junk. Sharp should just stay out of the cell phone arena.
I know what you mean. The irony is that Sharp makes excellent quality phones for Europe and Asia. Most people would be surprised at how advanced their Jap market phones are. Their reliability is pretty good too.

My first phone that comes anywhere close to high-end, that I owned way back in summer of 2006 had a 3.2 af camera with 3x optical zoom, and stereo speakers. It was a damn fine handset.
