To all of you anti-iPhone Pro-MS Fanboys....

1) Microsoft isn't allowing for the UI customization (Sense, 3rd party overlays, etc.) you saw in prior versions. All development is tightly controlled.

2) Limited Multitasking

3) Push Notifications

4) Synchronization done with Microsoft's Zune software.

5) Extremely tight control over development.

In other words, I'm laughing pretty hard. Microsoft has admitted that Apple's vertically integrated model is better (need proof? Exhibit Android) , and has conceded the very weak points of the existing platform (that Multitasking causes more problems than it solves.)

Yay! Hope they release a beta so we can get a feel

Windows mobile I think should have integrated the Zune and Xbox stuff from the get go being as they both provide service that alot of their customers already want and pay for. That would have probably instantly increased their market share on smartphones/pdas instantly. they won't release a beta for this.. it is a complete rewrite like WebOS was for palm

from everything i've read / heard it seems that Microsoft is looking for that fresh start. And where backwards compatability is clean it will be there, but otherwise devs shouldn't look for MS to bend over backwards. the big boys will rewrite their st...
