does this craptastic phone need a data plan?????

It's not going to perform like an iPhone 4, data speed wise. So why not lower the price for data? EEEEEEEEVIL 👿 🤣

That doesn't make sense. What does a $20 data and/or text requirement have anything to do with an iPhone 4's data plan?
The $20 feature requirement can be any combination of text OR data features. (i.e. even $20 unlimited texting, with no data)

This is simply my opinion, although I think the requirement may be alittle steep, cost wise, I get it! I had a customer who absolutely refused to get a messaging prior to the new policy, and they came back alittle more than a month later and swore I never gave them the option of the messaging plans! AT&T gave that customer a $70.00 credit for overage... and these stories are all over the place! Somebody is always messing it up for everybody else... oh well... life goes on! This device uses a different OS than the Sidekick...
