Honestly, every cell phone store, kiosk, cart and website should hand out fliers with every purchase detailing the dangers of texting while driving.
Call centers management should require their people to verbally warn people of the danger and salespeople should enforce the idea that texting while driving has been proved again and again to be almost 3 times as bad as driving while drunk.
I, for one, fully support any ban on texting cities make.

I doubt hitting the "next track" button on your CD player is as equally distracting as reading and composing a text message on a tiny keyboard while driving.

We have all attempted to text and drive simultaneously at one time or another and it simply can not be done effectively. Driving on tax payer roads is a privilege not a right and engaging in any activity while driving on public roads that may endanger the lives and safety of others is unacceptable. Your rights END where the next persons rights BEGIN. We need this law to go national and this is from a self admitted smart phone junkie.
