Running out of memory/deleting/moving to SDcard
I have downloaded several programs from the market and the phone works great, but I am running out of memory. (in the phone) Is there any way to move programs I use infrequently to the SD card and run them from there?
Also, I don't use twitter so twinkdroid and some other programs could go, but twinkdroid doesn't show up in my installed programs list, (maybe because it is a widget?) How can I delete these things to give me more space?
Hi,
Looks like there is no way to move apps to SD card and make em run from there 😢 , but what you can do about system slowness/freezing is, you go to Menu > Settings > Applications > Running services ; Choose applications that you dont want ...

And that way you won't clog up the phone memory.
As far as twiroid and Hookt, rooting seems to do the trick.

Samsung Galaxy Prevail
When I first bought the Galaxy Prevail I thought, "great, is has everything I need at such a good price!" Until.......a few days ago, when it started to re-boot over and over. It would turn off and on even when I am trying to make a call. It is getting really frustrating. I tried calling the Boost Call Care for tech advise and all I heard was "to re-boost or add money."
I went to their website and called the number they have posted for technical support...and got the same thing...money..money...money. How can I get in touch with a real human being that can tell me how to fix the problem?
This on and off business really sucks! 😡
Boost Mobile contacted me. They walked my through the settings and guess what? I no longer have access to my voice mail!! Their techs are inexperienced. They are passing the buck to Samsung. I was told by Boost that I may have to mail in my phone and ...

I had some trouble with my Prevail also but (this is astonishing) it seems that keeping it in a pocket or purse without a cover causes a problem with the keyboard. I was keeping it in a briefcase and carrying it on a plane and the phone got jostled ...

Mobile hotspot
Can the prevail be made out of a mobile hotspot? T think it's called tethering? 👀 Like the other galaxy devices?
I believe this is the first 2.2 phone that does not have hotspot capabilities.
As far as tethering to a computer via USB? I'll get back to you on that.
GPS Issues?
Can the author (or anyone else) comment on GPS performance? This has been a fatal flaw on most of the Samsung Galaxy S devices, but perhaps not on this one since it has little in common with the others.
Comments?
Boosts CDMA
What did he mean by that, is boost now using CDMA on some on its phone instead of IDEN??

Opinion from a authorized dealer
As a authorized dealer I am happy to have a Galaxy S.
Now as a Boost Customer.
Why the frak did Boost want a casterated version of this phone? 2MP camera 117MB onboard storage. No 4G 800Mhz CPU. What the hell..... Sprint need to understand that while Boost isnt the Premier brand Boost customers will pay up to 400 for a good phone.. eg i1. If you build it they will come. (Field of dreams)
It has Android 2.2. A good portion of apps in the marketplace you can download right to a microSD card.
A 4G Boost phone? Do you know how much something like that would cost? You'd be better off going with a contract service (like Sprint).
Boost...
