There really shouldn't be any concern on the merger if both companies want it. It's all just a show giving us something to talk about.
The real problem is that the news leaked this story to the public (outside of the techy, geeky, cell phone world) and now every AT&T and T-mobile employee gets asked the same stupid questions. For instance... asking t-mobile if they (the customer) can pay their ATT bill. Or vice versa. Does the news have any idea how stupid people are?

I have to say that the FCC is really stepping up and putting the heat on AT&T. AT&T has stockpiled spectrum from past auctions and appears to have showcased it in glass cases for everyone to see but never touch.
Why should ATT be rewarded with more spectrum when they have done no good with what they have? I think ATT should not play games with the group of people that have the authority to make or break the deals.
I'm seeing a good portion of offense from ATT, but little defense.

Agreed! And they basically side step every question the FCC, Senate, or House have asked them with some BS corporate non-answer. Glad to see them getting deeply probed here, double meaning intentional.

Who's supplying the numbers?
How can Congress trust AT&T to provide accurate numbers? If AT&T is suppling the numbers won't the numbers will show exactly what AT&T wants them to show? Congress should appoint an independant source to provide the numbers.
