forgive me if i ramble.
i have an LG Fusic phone, no longer activated. i used to transfer all my pix/video to the miniSD card and put them on my computer via my digital camera, but that camera is busted out.
my phone came with a USB cable, but no instructions. i'm not usually so technologically ignorant, but i'm a little lost here. can i use that phone USB cable to get my pix/vids onto my computer, and if so, how?
thanks.

Software????
Do you need some kind of software to be able to transfer files to the phone/memory card, or are the drivers and software built in?
It simply acts as flash memory. If you're trying to use the USB cable, then you have to go into Tools (Menu, 9) and choose USB Flash Memory (#). This will turn off your ability to make and receive calls while it's on, but you can then hook up the US...

LG Fusic Ringtone Question.
Hey everyone out there I would like some info can anyone tell me if it's possible how to set the MP3's for the LG Fusic as a Ringtone? All your help is greatly appriciated.
You can be using your very own mp3 as a ringtone in just a few minutes. Here's how it works:
Use a portion of an MP3 as your ringtone. To do this, use a program, such as Audacity (www.Audacity.com). Save the ringtone to your desktop so it will be eas...

so.. my phone randomly powers itself off when i am not using it, even if the battery is charged... thoughts?
I've been having this problem with the Fusic since I first purchased it in April 2007. It has gotten to the point that whenever I close the phone, it'll power itself off. I have to close it very gingerly to keep it from doing so. I plan to call Sprint...

Scheduler Alert question
I'm trying to set up the Scheduler on my LX-550 phone, but I can't set up the alerts to only Vibrate (independently of all other settings or the master volume). It insists on assigning an Alarm ringtone.
I want to be able to receive alerts without the Alarm noises so I don't disrupt class or co-workers, it seems like this should be an option.
The Sound Settings don't offer much help, most terms seem to be synonyms, so I can't determine which one will affect the Scheduler.
I don't believe there's a way to set individual functions, whether calls, messages, or alarms, to vibrate instead of make sounds. It seems that everything vibrates or nothing does.
If you turn the volume all the way down to "vibrate all," the phone...

Disable Internet
Hey,
Just wondering how to disable the internet on this phone. I'm pretty sure there is no option in the menu, and Bell won't cut the service. Received $20 in internet service charges this month for "attempting" to connect to the internet, but no acutal usage....BS. I don't use the internet, and sometimes accidentally hit that button. Anyone know if theres a program to alter this.
Thanks
Hi,
I had the same problem. Just got off the phone with Bell. No help!
But I figured a semi solution myself. It's not perfect but will work. Put your phone in airplane mode while you play your music. The only downfall is that you can't get calls ...

Music format issue?
I've used the Fusic previously, then switched to the Upstage. While it was a great phone, I missed my FM Transmitter.
As I switched back to my fusic, I noticed that only my MP3 songs were showing in my "All My Music" playlist. When I went into my memory card manager I found the files I downloaded from the music store, but they wouldn't play. I got a message saying "Invalid File".
Some of these files were downloaded when I was still using the Fusic. Is there anything I can do to correct this? We're talking about 100+ songs here.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.
are you sure you have everything in the correct folders?
mp3's go in MEDIA folder and the bought songs in MUSIC folder. i did that exact same thing not too long ago.

Vibrate & ringer woes
Hi all,
Well, I'm a Sprint customer as of this afternoon. I have to say, after the insane shenanigans involved with just setting up an account at Cingular, T-Mobile or Verizon, I couldn't believe how fast I was in and out of the Sprint place.
However, I got me a Fusic and I'm a bit confused. I have the ringer volume set to High + Vibe and when I'm in the settings, it works fine. However, when a call comes in, it sounds more like medium and there's no vibrate. Anybody know what the deal is / how to fix it?
Thanks!
Eh, I think it was because it was plugged in to the charger at the time...does that sound right? I unplugged it and the volume was louder and it vibed when called.
Mine does that too...only when it's plugged into the charger - isn't that the weirdest thing?? I wonder why it does that. π

Crazy vibrating.
When I have my phone on vibrate, it will vibrate at random times, no alerts or anything. Does anyone else have an issue with this? I've only had it for a week, but all last week it was fine, it just started this yesterday. (it's not new)
yes, i had the same problem with my phone. What i did to fix it was going to menu then messaging, then setting, and turn off message reminder. That fixed the problem. If that does work, U can also put the phone in ringer off just press the volume ke...

FINALLY! LG really could have made this easier, but you can still use just about whatever you want as a ringtone on your LG FUSIC phone. This took about an hour of fiddling to figure out how to make it work, but fortunately for you I wrote this guide so you can be using your very own mp3 as a ringtone in just a few minutes. Here's how it works:
Get the USB driver from Sprint. What you want is the "Sprint PCS Connection Manager for Phone as Modem/USB Cables." The only part you need to check to install are the LG Drivers.
Get BitPim from http://www.bitpim.org/. It doesn't fully support this phone yet but t...

That worked great. Besides for BitPim being ΓΒΌber slow in it's upload to the phone the method you linked to worked like a charm.
Thank's man.
I'm trying to do that, but what mirror do I get?
When trying to download it tells me to choose a mirror which one do I get?
π€¨ I downloaded the bitpim software to my comp. but when i plugged in the usb it couldnt find my phone. So i tried to go in pick my model of phone(LX-550)but all i would find was an LX 5500. Somone please help i really want some ringtones!!!

this works...

trouble with pc transfer to media player
for the life of me, I can't get my ripped mp3s to play on the media player. when I try to access the files from the clickwheel, it keeps coming up no content. the mp3s come up under tools>memory card, but they won't play through transmitter. crowd hatin' it. help!!
when you first put your memory card in the phone is should create a media folder. You have to put your songs into this folder (not just on the memory card). If you have songs on there already, drag them into the media folder.
enjoy
mikk, when i plug the phone to pc, nothing comes up on my pc. what program is used to drop and drag songs? sorry, but i'm a newbie to a lot of this stuff.
I think this is the answer to your problem (since nobody answered it):
Note: I have the Muziq insead of the Fusic..
It is probably due to the fact that your files are read only.
I loaded a few mp3s under the Music directory. They would show ...

Transfer music from comp hard drive to media folder
Holy crap. I can't beleieve how difficult it was to find what turned out to be a pretty simple answer to this:
This is for people who already have music saved to their computers and want to move it to the phone.
1. Connect your USB cable to the phone and computer.
2. Click "menu", "USB flash drive", "yes" (to "voice calls will be disabled during USB connection. Continue?")
3. Once your phone says that you are connected, go to your computer and double click the "my computer" icon (or select from the programs menu).
4. You should see an icon for the added hardware, whether it is the e or f drive, or even if it looks like your memory stick icon.
5. Click this new drive. If you don't see it, start this process over after fir...
