Bold 9930 or Torch 9850 (no qwerty)?

I'm researching Smart Phones. Given that I'm still in the stone age (flip phone), I'm not going to be very big on apps or screen size. I've settled on BB. The major difference I see between the Bold 9930 and Torch 9850 is the virtual vs physical keyboard? I wont be doing emails on the phone but a little texting. Which one is a better choice?

Please add a number row!

I want to beg RIM, there is more than enough room on top of your excellent keyboard to add another row for a dedicated numeric key row, which would make texting & typing sooo much easier.!

It would become my favorite phone! And I'm sure everyone else would appreciate it!

Please consider it!! Thanks.

you gotta be kidding me....

800 dolars for FIXED FOCUS!!!!??? WAY TO GO RIM! god!!!!!
Well, I don't disagree... if Apple can do it and keep the iPhone thinner... but...

To play devil's advocate, I'm sure RIM would say it's necessary to keep it as thin as it is, and also that this is a business-oriented phone, so the camera isn't nec...

My 2 cents

Let me start by sayin I'm a huge blackberry fan. Crackberry gets At least $5 from me per month. I went from the 9650 to the 9930 and right back to the 9650 the following day. With no wifi hotspot and enough bugs and poor battery life to make your head spin the 9930 is not yet ready for the serious business user. And let's face it. Isn't that who RIM is targeting? If I decide I want the next toy from VZW i'll go with the iPhone 5. If not I'll hang on to my 9650 which is bullet proof and save he games for my iPod touch.
If the Bold 9000 had been made like this, I might have stayed with BB. The old 9000 style and size was the best design in my opinion. Not to big but, big enough for someone with bugs hands like mine. 😁

9930 vs. Evo 3D vs. Apple

A 1.2 Ghz processor on the new 9930 bring RIM back into the ring against Android and Apple. The question is if the 9930 is going to be ascrificing battery life in order to suport such a processor...I hope not because that would defeat the purpose
Snapdragon processors generally do okay on battery life.
Both RIM and Apple place a high priority on battery life. I am just guessing, but I would highly doubt battery life would be drastically lower.
