Foursquare for Android Adds NFC-Based Tap to Check In

So let me get this straight. I get a phone with NFC and I go to my local bar/etc. and find a poster with an NFC chip and tap my phone against it? Where are these posters? how far are we really away from this? So in the meantime this is just pointless to me. It has no real value in today's time, yet at least... 😕

I could see using this simple check in feature quite a bit
