New Phone!

Hey all...Virgin seems to be picking up the speed in which it offers new phones...check out the new ARC from UTSTarcom. Nice looking phone with Bluetooth. Not sure of any other details.

Also, the all you can eat plan has emerged for 79.99. I am hoping, now that they have bought out Helio, that they get creative with a Smartphone (Ocean 2), and offer a Prepaid plan with that phone. I think it would be a great seller.

Virgin will offer Helio devices. Not too sure what's going to be offered, due to Virgin offering 1xRTT, and Helio offering EvDO.

I will definitely buy one and change my plan if they offer an EVDO device. They could do an all you can eat thing like Sprint does for $99. That would be very competitive since there would be no contract required, hopefully.

I know people get negative about the service, phones, prices, etc., but you will find that with any cell phone company. Seems like everyone wants to gripe about their cell phones but couldn't live without them! LOL.

Do you have any inside information, Yean? Such as when they will be offering the new phones? Also, probably the answer is "no," but would we be able to use it as a tethered modem? That would be incredibly fantastic if so.

Virgin Mobile purchased Helio for more customer base, and to lower their plans. This will be very interesting due to Helio customers having access to EvDO. As far as Virgin Mobile allowing PAM (Phone As Modem), I seriously doubt it. There are exploits, and I will try and find one for Virgin Mobile. Need to see f their handsets support one, or two NAI's.

VM needed a new camera phone to replace the aging Cyclops, but the Arc is not it.

VM was doing so well with the LG Flare and Samsung Slash, competitive phones from mainstream manufactures.

I am disappointed in the return to UTStarcom.

I guess it could be worse though, we could be getting phones from some anonymous Chinese manufacturer a la MetroPCS.
