Extending Ring Time
I had a tech try hands on to do everything. It's only with incoming calls for some reason.
Rings once or not at all and either drops the call or straight to voice mail.
Master reset, master clear, re-programming the phone did not work and when the tech got frustrated, they offered to have me wait until a replacement phone could be shipped ($10) or get a replacement at the store ($30).
It is not the phone. Tech team has not a clue either.
Samsung and Motorola models have the same issue.
I did everything they told me to do and nothing worked.
Brought it to one of their stores that flash phones, still no resolution.
Their solution is to pay to get another phone.
It is not the phones.
It is a carrier setting they need to check for incoming ring time before VM.
To any Metro tech that reads this thread, if and when you figure out a resolution, please let us know.
Don't know why but that is the issue.
Either a switch, LATA, or OCN issue causing compatibility problems.
I spent TWO HOURS talking with THREE AGENTS from MetroPCS.
Each tried to help, and each failed.
There is no way to change this.
For me, it rings way too long before going to voice mail, and I'm losing customers. Therefore I've decided to switch service providers.
