Best way to cash in on signal insurance?

Greetings and Happy Holidays, I have a newer Moto v710 and am not very keen on it. I purchased it out of contract so I paid full price for it. I can renew any time now but am too lat to get a refund of the price for it. The phone does work but there are just a few too many weird glitches that keep happening. I press a speeddial key and it dials but I cant hear anything. Battery goes from 3 bars to no bars back to 2 bars. Camera is very sketchy. The battery cover seems to be glued on. Anyway since I can't return it anymore I was thinking about cashing in on the signal insurance. Yeah Id have to eat $50 for about a months worth of use but I could do it around Xmas when the new batch of phones should be out. The 6255i looks promising...

There is no way to get a different phone from Signal. There is nothing you can do to get a Nokia 6255i from them unless you already had one. Signal Insurance is exactly that...insurance!! 🙂 They cover only the phone you have currently. The only time you may possible get a different model phone, is if the model you have is discontinued and they no longer have any in stock at their warehouse. Then, they still do not send you anything you want. They send either the next model up, made by the manufacturer of your current phone, or something comparable, as far as features and price goes.

I'm sorry, but with Signal, there is no way around this. Hope this helps in any way.

If they don't have the phone in stock they will sometimes replace them with a different one.

yea, that's when you either get lucky or they screw you by sending some older, ugly model.

I had a customer who had one of their phones replaced with an Auidovox 9500. She had an LG 4400 before.

yeah, they sometimes lied to the customer and said stuff like "the v60 is discontinued and we cannot send you a newer phone" then they send the discontinued 9500.
