razr and q phone coming
amp'd will soon have the razr and q phone added to the line of phones they offer. this should be huge for them, a few new phones to go along with the awesome plans, it looks like a step in the right direction for them...

i was at a meeting put on by amp'd last week and they talked about it. the razr should be out in the next few weeks, and the q in a few months. they also have plans for more phones beyond that but didn't have any real details to give out. if you have any more questions please let me know, i will be happy to answer what ever i can for you. and just so you know i work closely with amp'd so this isn't someone talking a bunch of b.s.

bad thing is the bluetooth will also be locked on it as well. the reason for that is a deal made between the record companies and amp'd, since they work so closely together it was something amp'd had to do to make them happy. it's to bad to, it would be nice to use it the way all the other carriers phones do. but if i had to guess i would be willing to bet someone will or already has found a way to unlock it, kind of like what happened when boost phones first came out. it didn't take someone long to figure out a way to unlock them. so don't be surprised if the same thing happens with the bluetooth.

im sure bluetooth can be unrestricted and Ampd can still protect their content from piracy as far as ringtones and other media

I just called amp'd yesterday. According to the rep, they only use Verizon's towers. They don't lick their bluetooth at all.

So the razr is going to be out soon, because my family is going to let me get a new phone, and I want to get Amp'd. I was probabally going to go for the Hollywood, but I would rather get the razr if it's out soon.

most people who own a razr dont even like it + ampd only has 3 phones so i highly doubt they would consider replacing any of their phones.
