Hmm i didnt know about the limit. Thanks for that. Im on my ocean everyday checking emails google mapping everything and surfing like crazy. Never once occured to me that they would put a limit. Although it does make sense though.

Lemme ask you one question though, what is it you intend to do that will make you go over the limit?

I just got my Ocean today, and my girlfriend's will be arriving middle of next week. I don't expect any 160MB limit to be a problem. We're approaching this from the perspective that the Ocean is an awesome phone, and happens to have some neat online features. But any media (music, pictures, video) that gets played on our phones will have come from my computer, so the total monthly bandwidth usage will probably be half the limit, or less.

Ocean = sexy phone with awesome IM and email capabilities, and decent PMP (mmm, bluetooth MP3 and AAC transmission to bluetooth-equipped car stereo)

I have also been researching Helio because of all the hype.
Then I find that the Buddy Beacon has to be Manually updated if you change locations, so it's no good as a child locator.
Now I find it has yet Another LIMIT on its Unlimited service.

All of a sudden their prices are NOT better for their service than that of other wireless companies.

The word on the data usage is: Yes, if you go over 160, they look to see what kind of usage it was, e.g., non-stop video, etc. They warn you 3 times, then issue you a disconnect notice (so you may port to another carrier), then they break your contract (you pay no penalty). Verizon gives you 5 GB, quite a bit more than Helio, but the exact same usage activity restrictions apply. Helio's devices force surfing through wap browser mapping so it reduces the size of the images, etc., therefore the usage of data. I've been told you could blow through 160 mb quickly, and I've been told most everyone should be fine. I think the latter is more the case in that I've not heard a great deal of talk about people being disconnected.

I don't way people always complain about this. Stop trying to use your phone like a reg PC and you won't have to worry about going over...geez. ALL carriers have to set a limit on the data usage.
