Should I Switch?
I am a longtime Sprint customer and use the phone mostly for voice calls. I live and work in central Louisiana. We do not have Verizon available here, and also no mobil broadband in this area. My question is would it be worth it?

no I was not meaning to be a jerk. They all offer 15 to 30 days to try their service. Only you can decide if you like it. Someone migh tthink att is the best thing in your area and you get them and then you think they are the worst. Since you are talking about switching to a carrier that uses the same network as you already are using it should only be a matter of price!

Yes, Switch even though you use your phone for mostly voice calls helio does give you the option for more stuff with your line.
You will see what I mean when you can look at real time traffic reports to help out your daily commute, or kill boredom at the DMV by going online and responding to emails. Helio just gives more opportunity to do more then just voice. If it is just voice you want though, then helio can do that too.

Well, JCNinLa said she doesnt have mobile data out there. If helio uses Sprints and Verizons towers, then this whole "killing time at the DMV, and watching real traffic reports" is pointless isnt it? 🤣

Try not to hate cause Helio, is actually helping Sprint.
As for Helio helping me kill time in the DMV that was an example I used based on my own personal experience. Besides the DMV she goes to could be in a place where there IS data service, do you live with her sprint 2007? NO? Then sprint boy should listen to me telling his ass to keep quiet.

Post bashing does not solve anything or help anyone. All I'm here to do is answer the questions I can and help the ones I can help.
If you see the forum post fights in the other carriers forum you will see that a pissing contest never solves anything.
If Yean thinks that Sprint offers more, and he likes looking for 3rd party applications for free cause his carrier likes charging extra for every litle thing, then by all means he has a right to his opinion. Helio charges for stuff too, but they also encompass more free applications that are included with their plans.

I like to think Sprint and Helio are helping each other. Sprint does offer a lot of service, and of coarse, do charge for their service.
There are many developed J2ME sites that offer a lot of FREE apps, games, full length movies (current movies showing), TV shows, TV, etc.
I'm very impressed with Helio's phone portfolio, but Sprint does offer more, in my opinion. And Sprint will continue to offer more when WiMAX rolls out.
