Spam on Yahoo!
I've been getting tons of spam on Yahoo! Messenger on my Helio Ocean from usernames that all end in the domain kandykams.info or myfreecamhost.com. The username in front of the domain name is always suffixed by a seven digit number so it's impossible for me to type in under 10 million possible usernames on my Helio Ocean to ignore that the spam could come from for each username template that the spammer uses. Has anyone figured out a way to block this type of spam on the Helio Ocean?

Have Helio switch your nai.

Can I ask how that helps and will the CSR agent know what I'm talking about when I don't?

The nai is the usermame that spammers send the spam to. Example: john.doe@helio.com. Spammers will continue to spam the old nai. The Helio tech dept. should know of an nai or ip swap.

They're not spamming to my Helio account. If you know what the Ultimate Inbox is on Helio, it has messaging integrated with everything else. One of the services in the Ultimate Inbox is Yahoo! instant messaging and email. The spammers are sending me spIM, I think that's what it is called, through Yahoo! instant messaging.

Regardless if it's spIM or spam, if your connecting to port 80, there has to be some kind of nai or ip to send and receive info.
From what I gather, it seems to be your personl nai from Yahoo, unless Helio provides one for you.
Check with Helio's tech support.

I don't understand what you're saying. Are you comparing NAI to IP? IP's operate at layer 3 of the OSI model while http, which you identified as port 80, operates on layer 7 of the OSI model. How does changing something in layer 3 change what's going on at layer 7?
Maybe you're saying that I should change my Yahoo! ID? That would be disasterous since I'd lose everyone on my friends list and there would be no assurances that I wouldn't get spammed on the new Yahoo! ID either since it looks like this spammer is spamming alot of people on Yahoo!.
