Ready to Upgrade....Your Thoughts?

I can't get interested in the iPhone, but the Galaxy IIIS has really good specs and is getting great reviews. Quad core CPU, 4.8" screen, good battery life, 1080p video, it goes on and on. If I were ready to upgrade this is the phone I would look at first. I believe in laying on hands though - when it becomes available go to the store and test drive it.
The US version of the Galaxy S III is a 1.5 ghz dual-core not a quad core. It appears all the US versions will be this way.
One immediately benefit of the 3S being on the horizon is price drops on other phones.
1. DO NOT SUPPORT LTE
2. Do NOT perform better than dual-core processors in real-world situations.
Please people, it's not about the number of cores, it's about the architecture of the processors.

They'll likely drop it this fall. Hold out, man. Obviously, you really want an iphone. Imagine how miffed you will be if you settle for another Droid handset and then the iphone5 is released.
Not sure if you're talking to the original poster or me, but I wouldn't say that I "obviously really want an iphone". After using a Droid X for two years the iphone 4 screen looks tiny to me. If the iphone 5 does have a larger screen like the rumors suggest, and if they finally put good turn-by-turn GPS navigation on it, I would seriously consider it. Otherwise I will gladly stick with Android. I just need to decide which one! 😕
When considering my next phone, I weighed the options seriously: it was between the iPhone 4S and Galaxy S II. When the 4S was announced, I was sorely disappointed that it was a minor update and went with the Galaxy S II.
The important thing with any phone purchase is to weigh the options and pros and cons of each, rather than blindly following. It's just as easy to be an AndroidSheep as it is to be an iSheep.
PS I still like. Your an open-minded consumer.
Not a brainwashed corporate advertisement.
You represent the ideas & interests of consumers,
and aren't a mouthpieces for the CEO's like many on here
are always supporting corporate interests rather than
being an individual consumer.
Which no matter who you work for,...we're all
consumers & tech enthusiasts!
Motorola Droid, I had a lot of problems with
that also.
When charging touch screen would act wacky.
Buttons on keyboard came loose!!!
