Who was given earlier dates? I preordered mine on the first day and it said "ships by July 9." Even the emails I received at work leading up to the announcement said that.

I don't know that anyone was given an earlier date. I thought maybe that's what daxdcagain meant in his post. So when is Verizon's official release date for this phone?

Officially, it's sometime between now and Armageddon. They haven't said a word. Hopefully they don't doubleback on the original July 9 preorder date. Who knows what's up with them.
