I got an interesting e-mail today, seems there have been customers getting contracts renewed based upon the assumption that would be able to keep their benefits for that extended period of time ex:Charter plans 99.99 unlimited minutes, shared plans, etc...

Well the e-mail that we received today states the contract is a "service agreement" in the legal definition providing month to month billable airtime service. It said that that by renewing the contract DOES NOT GUARENTEE keeping the plan they are on for 2 years, just they have to stay on service for 2 years, since the renewal is for discounted equipment or or anything non promotional related"

It also goes on to state that the company can change or alter your plan, with 30 days advanc...

As a member of this forum, I have decided not to take things so seriously here. Austin, you have provided some insight of what MAY be in store, but like I said, I am not going to take it too seriously. I think I will just wait till I see it with my own eyes.

Sorry dude, i don't work in a store i am a customer service represenative for "blue legacy" customer care. This came to me in regards to legacy customers believing they can renew contracts just to keep their plans, and they are signing a "service agreement" to provide them service, just not what is on that service. 😉

It's a legal loophole, thats the point!!!!

If such email is true to its words, then what rights do consumers have?

I could see a civil law suit approaching rapidly.

you sign a "service contract" which means we will provide accessable airtime service for a monthly fee, just not guarenteed whats in that monthly service other then the included minutes, we can't alter the price of what you pay, but we can alter what is in the plan, since promotions are subject to removal at anytime, that why it says included in plan minutes, then additional anytime minutes.

Like for an example, the 99.99 charter plan on blue, included in the plan is 1500 included minutes, with a promotion for unlimited minutes, but the promotion can be removed, but your included minutes that comes with it will stay and same price 99.99, thats just 1 example.
Thats the big difference....

There are no promotions for migrating, you get whats included in the plan, the only "offers" would be the discount on the phone you choose to get with the migration.

He claims that its an e-mail that he, as a Blue car rep, recieved.

Well I am a Blue care rep as well and I have not recieved any such e-mail. Neither has any other rep in my center. And when I asked my TL about this he looked at me like I was on crack!

Blue customers can keep their plans with all their promos as long as they don't call in to change anything. This is as per the e-mails I recieved, my TL, My Ops manager.
