I want to know if you have an unlimited data plan on at&t for a basic phone for $15 will that work on a Android phone?

When you put your SIM into the Android (assuming you have the unlimited data for non-smartphones on the line), the change in IMEI is recognized and the data plan stops working.

After about a month, a smartphone data plan is automatically added to the line, and it would be the 3 GB for $30.

you win some you lose some. the bottom line is it is not supposed to work and at&t is always working a new methods to detect this. you may have a phone that is working for now but there is no guarantee that it will continue to work and don't be surprised when you get that sms letting you know your plan has been changed.

I know I was testing you guys out but it has worked for years now and a few Weeks ago I put my Sim in a blackberry and lost the data plan but after a few hours I got back the unlimited $15 plan.

I have been in this business longer than everyone on this form and know more tricks of the the trade than most.

I am still limited on my Android choices but I still have multiple phones and mainly use Verizon Wireless because it works better where I live now.

My brother put the SIM of his non-smartphone with unlimited data into an iPhone and within a month it changed to the 2 GB data plan (this was before they changed the plan).

While it may work at first, don't expect it to stay that way as it's not supposed to work, and if you get caught at it your data plan will mysteriously change.

only the iphone 4 and 4s take micro-sims, others standard sim. there are also sim cutters and sleves you can buy that allow you to go btwn a micro-sim and standard sim device.

pure rumor and speculation, don't believe anything about the "iPhone 5" until apple holds the press conference and says it themselves. But anyways, I see no reason apple would revert to a standard sim size, the micro sim saves them space to keep the device as slim as possible.

It was an iPhone 3GS, which takes normal sized SIM cards.

You can get that a couple ways.. Upgrade with ATT and get the best phone that is selling well on Ebay. Use that money towards an INTERNATIONAL device.

You can give ATT the IMEI of that device and it will not register on their network as a "smartphone" (they don;t have a data base of EVERY phone sold in the world) Put you SIM card in and get provisioned for the MediaNet plan or take it to Straight Talk.

We have a GT-7000 Note and and i9100 SGS II both in UL MediaNet plans and have not upgraded since the 3GS which was the last phone that sold for a great price on Ebay. We may upgrade for iPhone 5 if its a hot device to sell it.

Been doing this since the 3GS, ATT has not had a phone worth selling since.

I don;t know if ...
