functions of the phone. That is legal. But I can't think of the name of this process. It is on the tip of my tongue and don't know it for anything. Do any of you guys know the name of this process? And if you do how do I go about proceeding so I can get the most out of my phone. I am using the Apple iPhone 3GS by the way. Thanks in advance.

Unless you are referring to Unlocking, which only allows your phone to be activated on another supported carrier, which you must go through the carrier to request this to be done.

I do have the latest software. I will look into the jailbreaking. The procees I was thinking of does something similar as jailbreaking but was called something else just cant think of it. It was not unlocking. Ok once I download this jailbreaking link you sent thanks by the way. What will the next steps be for me to jailbreak? Also what will be the extra benefits that I will get fromn the jailbroken phone. Thanks again.

Once you run the program and Cydia is installed, you're officially jailbroken. You can run Cydia and install tweaks, themes and such. Benefits are that you basically take control of the device and can do whatever you want with it.

I downloaded the software program that you sent me. It was just some movie and music sort of page. Seems like a Netflix or such competitor and didn't lead me to Cydia or anything like that.
