Time for a new phone!!! Currently I have the iPhone 4 and plan on the Iphone 5 just because. I started looking at the samsung gIII and the Note 2 that is coming out. Me and my grandson was at the mall when we seen a sign that said free xbox or kindle. We were noticed by an ATT Rep when she approached us and inquired what service provider I had and ask if i was looking for a phone. I told her I was waiting for Sept 21 and she said you are one of those....
enough said.

Just checked via Apple website. When my contract is up with AT&T upgrade price is $450.

Checked my Verizon account, which I have a "feature" phone on. Upgrade price when contract is up...$200! 😳

Unless it has to do with a difference in having a smartphone vs feature phone between the two carriers. Perhaps AT&T isn't going to let Apple gouge them so much on current customer upgrades??? 😕

Seems strange to me though. Perhaps I'll check each carriers websites themselves when pre-orders start.

I don't have ATT myself, but my brother is in need of a new phone. He wants a touchscreen and keyboard that does not require data. I know other companies, ie Sprint, carry such things, so I would think ATT does as well.

If anyone has any advice on a good phone that matches this description that would be great. Thank you.

I switched from Verizon to AT&T back in December of 2011. I love AT&T and have much better coverage than I ever did with Verizon.

One issue that I am having that I cannot get resolved since I switched from Verizon to AT&T, I keep getting these random calls, and the last 2 – 3 weeks, these calls have increased from 1 – 2 times a day to 20-40 calls per day. Some of them are from the same number(s) and some of them are not. These spammers claim I have signed up for something online, and they are calling to confirm my subscription. I have NOT signed up online for anything. I have even been told that I signed up for funeral arrangements and they are calling to get it set up. So my wife & I are needing new smartphones soon. I don't need data; my wife has the Data UNL right now, uses it sporadically on her 5230, and we're kinda needing phones that can sync with calendars iCal (but we can sync that with Google Calendar with an Android). Being required to have a non-unlimited data plan (a minimum increase of $25) isn't an option, so we'll be going unlocked, unbranded phones* - either Symbian or Android. What I'm needing to know is whether non-AT&T Androids will be flagged as smartphones. I'm pretty confident that Symbian phones (probably an N8 or 700 for me) won't have the data plan auto-added, since I've had multiple Symbians previously on pay per use. Are people receptive to this giant 5.3in smartphone? I read on the internet that Samsung has sold 2m Galaxy Note's worldwide, and hopes to sell 10m by the end of the year.

Saying my last goodbye to AT&T. I've been with them for nearly 7 years. Unfortunately I wasn't grandfather in on unlimited data, but everything is an add on to my family plan. My wife & I said see ya switched to sprint not just unlimited plan, just the fact we get 1500 min unlimited text, cell to any carrier rolled into one plan. Not the 1400 min $80, 2 data packs $60, the unlimited text / cell to carrier $30, Here's the kicker, got the iPhone 4s, AT&T stated they were exclusive talk & surf the web, WRONG!!! I can talk & surf the web. Well AT&T offered $30 off for 6 months, when asked why not for a year since I was a long time customer when it was Cingular, that's all we can offer right now, sorry to lose ur business.

I've been with AT&T for a little over a year. Prior to spending a year with Sprint, 2 years with AT&T and 12 years with Verizon.

The 3 plus years with AT&T has been the absolute best for customer service. The only lapse was when I went to Sprint for the first EVO. Sprint customer service was horrible.

AT&T is the absolute best, service, customer service and overall experience.

I am a ATT CS Rep and have been for a year so if anyone has questions, I will be happy to explain ATTs side and help you understand.

Is it just me or are other people in the State of MA started to see expanded LTE coverage? Starting around the 6th of July I started getting an LTE signal in Both the Lowell area and the Worcester area, previously I would only get LTE much closer to the Boston area.

I've got a Lumia 900 and a "New" iPad both showing me LTE... I've searched for any news about this and haven't found any.

Has anybody else here updated to ICS for the S2? I must admit that so far (only 2 days in) I am disappointed with it. I have noticed that several of the animations seem to be rougher than they were with 2.3. The unlock screen hiccups every time and just doesn't look very fluid. Every time I open the phone app to make a call they keypad takes a second to load. For some reason, if you're not using a live wallpaper, the image that you select is static, and doesn't move as it did before. Samsung didn't include the different categories of "apps" "widgets" and so on in the menu, something that I was looking forward to. They didn't even take the time or effort to add any kind of 3d animation to the widgets on your home screen as you move from on...

my element received a notification from at&t to get an update downloaded and when I did that it downloaded and then reset and now won't turn on. has anyone had this problem.

Hi, sporadically a message appears on the screen on my Samsung Flight 11 that reads "Press and Hold the Lock Key to use in Call Functions". Can someone please advise me what this means and more importantly, how do I (permanently) disable the message?

I realize I'm obviously in the minority, but I've had Iphones 3 & 4 and Androids with touch screens and have to admit I just don't like touch screen phones. I like what they can do - I just don't like the user interface they use to do it !

Is there any possibility of a "maneageable" flip phone with smart-phone capabilities coming anytime soon for the other 1 or 2 people in the world like me???
